Room very clean, decoration beautiful, room heated, toilet have bidet (a bonus for muslim traveller) but not heated. Water pressure of shower is very good and have hot water. Has large mirror at the sink, i like it soooo much! The host, both husband and wife are very helpful and kind. They can pick up at train station. They can help you to contact with agent to balagezong. The hotel have washer machine and can use it anytime. There is 1 halal restaurant near the hotel (can see the halal restaurant from my room) - just really a few steps from this hotel and there are a few halal restaurant about 50-100m from the hotel. It takes less than 10 minutes walk to Guishan Park. Highly recommended!

Booked 2 rooms, hence the same reviews: The best hotel I've stayed for my entire trip. The service from the lady is super nice & good, she also replied fast on Wechat. We have elderly with us who probably don't feel very well due to the altitude and went back to the hotel early (we are not aware as we walked separate ways), the lady was concerned and update + asked us if the elderly need oxygen machine etc. I like that it has a small lobby for me to chill (even on the 2nd level where my room is located, can have abit of drinks & smoke there). Right outside the hotel has some leg spa for ¥15 only which we experience since it was Jan 2026 and cold. I love the location, just beside the old town and easy to get food, drinks, and walking to the golden prayer wheel (long stairs walking up, walk slowly). I like the vibe in Shangri La the best (during this entire Yunnan Trip).
