Banyan Tree Ringha

As the first Banyan Tree in mainland China, Banyan Tree Ringha is exceptionally well-maintained. We stayed in a two-bedroom ******* villa this time, which offered a truly unique experience. Although we encountered a few minor issues, the staff quickly resolved them for us. Our butler, Cici, was particularly excellent—communication was smooth and she acted very promptly. I also have to commend the hotel's dining; it completely exceeded our expectations. The food was surprisingly delicious! We had both lunch and dinner at the hotel on both nights of our stay. Unlike other places, you can stay in rooms with local characteristics and the service is highly recommended.

This hotel, transformed from a century-old ******* village, offers a completely unique experience compared to typical resorts. The rooms are incredibly spacious with fantastic views directly overlooking the valley. A special thanks to Kendrick, who not only met my needs but also provided detailed insights into the local culture. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Shangri-La.

The rooms are in a relatively traditional style, suitable for larger groups. It might be a bit intimidating for just one or two people since each room is a standalone building. The service staff are also quite far away. Perhaps because it's an older establishment, some of the furnishings and items feel a bit dated. However, I must say that the surrounding environment is absolutely worth staying for – it's incredibly comfortable and beautiful, just like the Shangri-La I imagined! The environment is definitely a highlight. Some of the staff, however, felt very perfunctory and just going through the motions. The food at the restaurant was frankly not very good. We had the ******* barbecue set for dinner, and the price absolutely did not match the food; it was dry, unremarkable, and unappetizing. We barely ate any of it and wasted a lot – I advise against trying it. Breakfast was slightly better, though! Still, paying for this environment is acceptable.

A secluded sanctuary hidden in the Ren'an River Valley, a soul-healing highland journey. Banyan Tree Ringha is nestled amidst the valleys, with individual Tibetan-style shepherd huts exuding rich local charm. Opening the window reveals the river valley, forests, and grasslands, far from the hustle and bustle. At night, you can look up and see a sky full of brilliant stars. The rooms retain the traditional ******* architectural aesthetic while being equipped with modern amenities like oxygen concentrators, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay at high altitude. For this stay, I'd especially like to thank my personal butler, Ligil, who meticulously followed up from my arrival, was attentive and reliable, and responded promptly. The overall hotel atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and the breakfast offers both ******* and Western options, with a wonderful ambiance dining by the river. In your free time, you can stroll through the hotel's river valley and experience the tranquility of the mountains and fields. Thanks to Ligil's thoughtful and warm service, my entire Shangri-La trip was made even better. If I come to Shangri-La again, I will definitely choose this place.

This is my second stay, and once again, the service quality is consistently high. The experience here is simply amazing. Enjoy a SPA, savor a cup of butter tea, gaze at the mountains, and listen to the sounds of the river, buffaloes, sheep, and birds.

Came here on a friend's recommendation, and it's supposedly the first Banyan Tree property in China. It truly feels like a secluded Shangri-La, highly recommended! Our month-long trip to Yunnan featured an unforgettable stay at the Banyan Tree. It was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the ancient city, bringing back the authentic essence of Diqing and transforming our travel into a true experience. What made the Banyan Tree stand out among the many high-end hotels I've stayed at wasn't its luxurious amenities, but its exceptional service and overall experience. Our butler, Alicia, was incredibly warm and welcoming, greeting us with a Hada scarf and ginger tea upon arrival. In fact, all the staff were outstanding; you could genuinely feel their kindness and sincerity. In the restaurant (I apologize, I've forgotten its name), when we looked unsure how to eat the highland barley oil, a chef who was cooking noodles nearby proactively explained how to eat it and even helped prepare the ingredients, allowing us to savor an authentic and delicious meal. One morning, on our way to the nearby White Pagoda Temple with my son, we encountered staff members heading to work on the village paths, and they greeted us with 'good morning' as if we were old friends. I hope to have the opportunity to stay longer next time...

A truly healing mountain getaway! The hotel is tucked away in a secluded location, feeling completely isolated in nature. There are no noisy crowds, and opening the window reveals stunning views of mountains, forests, and river valleys. I even stumbled upon a ******* pig by chance! The architecture blends perfectly with nature, creating an incredible atmosphere. Our butler, Alicia, provided 24-hour attentive service that made us feel right at home. The hotel's travel photography service is also excellent and worth trying!
