Ocean View Hotel
"Really nice view. I enjoyed everything. Bathtubs was amazing."
The Q Hotel
"The hotel is lovely, staff are friendly and helpful. The room we had needed to be updated really. It was very dark and the decor was dated. Bed was comfy."
The Queens Road Hotel
Channel View Hotel
"Had another great 5 day stay here with my sister. Our room was lovely overlooking the sea and very comfortable, it was also situated perfectly for my mobility needs as right next to the lift ( room 57) A slight change to the breakfast service but was actually ideal and the food was delicious. We have made a request for a Christmas booking so hoping they will be able to fit us in."
The Fig Tree Shanklin
"Ok stay comfy beds and nice rooms definitely somewhere good to stay even better than last time"
Luccombe Manor Country House Hotel
"Unbeatable sea view room"
Medehamstede Hotel
"This hotel was only 2 star so went with low expectations. Have stayed at many hotels in IOW at the budget end on coach tours. This one was excellent by comparison. Food was plentiful, the rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff were just lovely. Charlotte worked so hard, I hope the manager appreciates her. Alison took such care and Mitch on the last night was fun in his Jamaican berry and dreadlocks. To top all of that there was brilliant entertainment. Glen and Jules brilliant, Paulo maybe not so much."
Luccombe Hall Hotel
"Good location, some staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely will come back."
The Clifton
"I found the Clifton Hotel to have positives and negatives. It's position on top of the cliff in Shanklin is very good. As was the excellent breakfast. The lounge, bar and outside arras were also good Negatives. It appears that our luxury room was adjacent to a doss house in a somewhat delapidated state. There is no lift. So if you fancy hauling your cases upstairs? The view to the rear of the hotel is none existant. You couldn't eat in your room. For me the bar menu was limited to basket meals. Also if you didn't want to drink the wine in the fridge they removed the wine glasses??? Would l stay at the Clifton again. Yes l would. But l would go for a room with a view to the front of the hotel. Take a room on a lower floor and ignore the no eating rule in the room imposed by the staff. I'd also take my own wine glasses"

Fernhurst Holiday Apartments
"Such a fantastic place. We stayed in Victoria and it was perfect for us. It's about a 10 minute walk from Old Shanklin but otherwise situated about a minute form the high street where there were plenty of food and drink options as well as a variety of shops. We were a couple so didn't need huge amounts of space. The bed was comfortable and due to having some mobility issues nothing was too big an ask for Rae. She happily organised for a seat to be placed in the shower to aid me. There are 2 shallow steps to go into the property but otherwise it is all on one level. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others."
Kenmare Cottage
The Havelock
"Everything you could ask for and more. First class hotel and nothing was a problem to Paul the gadget man and Vicky who were perfect hosts along with all the other staff. Great choice for breakfast. Room was large and comfy with great sea views from balcony. Keep up the good work."
The Ryedale
"Our second visit to this superb b & b. Expertly hosted by Hayley and John whom endeavour to ensure your stay is most enjoyable and relaxing. Cleaned to a very high standard and the breakfasts are top notch with a great and varied selection. Any hot food is expertly cooked by John and the whole dining experience is overseen by Hayley. Both hosts are very knowledgeable regarding places to visit and things to do. A well deserved high rating on Tripadvisor."
Birkdale Guest House
"We arrived after a long flight from Australia and checked in at the Birkdale Guest House. From the minute we were greeted by Colin and Lesley we felt right at home at this venue. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had lovely decor. Everything was so clean and fresh including the spacious bathroom. The choices for breakfast were amazing, just so many and the food was delicious! The fruit salad was definitely the best fruit salad I've ever had! Birkdale Guest House is in a great location to access the old village with lots of eateries within a short walk, also close to Shanklin Chine and the beautiful Esplanade. The local buses are efficient and frequent and also very close by, if like us, you don't have a car. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay on our arrival into the UK and so glad we chose to visit the Isle of Wight. Thank you Lesley and Colin. "
Bourne Hall Country Hotel
"Absolutely amazing. Great hotel, rooms were really clean and well kept. The food was excellent. We went over the Easter holiday. I would highly recommend !!"
Villa Mentone Hotel
"The owner seemed really helpful and changed our ferry when we were delayed. The views from the property and location are great , reception also looks clean and modern. However once you climb the stairs the age shows, the carpet was loose on the stairs and in our opinion a trip hazzard, the handrail provides support, perhaps the stickiness of the handrail is helpful to some? The room was too small to fully open the bathroom door, the bathroom floor still had grouting all over if and felt unclean. The carpets generally felt unclean, perhaps because of their age. Upon arrival there was a banquet, we ordered drinks which were flat, after complaining we were offered alternatives for which they tried to over charge us. Our little girl had water and ice served in a dirty glass (it had lipstick marks on), we asked for a clean glass but were offered another dirty glass. When we pointed this out we were asked to select a clean glass – the ability to do so appeared beyond the staff member. There is a buffet breakfast, for us the cooked breakfast seemed to be dripping in fat, yoghurts are left out and not refrigerated, the toast was the best thing on offer, coffee is worth a miss. The owner said the breakfast was good value for money, if you are not fussed about quality, and just want quantity, then I see the point, but I can’t think of a worse breakfast I’ve had in the last 5 years. Before posting this we did mention concerns to the owner, we also reviewed the hotel review and pictures which we don’t believe are a true reflection of our stay. This hopefully will allow others to make a more informed decision regarding their stay."
Haven Hall Hotel
"A beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds and views across the sea. Astonishing attention to detail. Very luxurious. Can highly recommend"
2 Bed Apartment The Priory - Panoramic Sea View
The Royson Guest House
"I'm so glad I booked The Royson for my recent Isle of Wight trip with my two young children. Nigel was very polite and welcoming. The hotel location is amazing, quiet, close to beach and convenience store. The room is not very spacious but it had everything we needed. The room and beds were clean (cleanliness was one of my biggest concerns!). The breakfast included was absolutely lovely which as a mum I was so relieved that everyone was happy and full to start the day!!!!!!!! my kids love the play area downstairs! I definitely recommend the Royson!"
