Ibis Hotel (Shantou Zhongshan Middle Road)

The room was spotless and bright. The shower had great water pressure. The staff were all very welcoming. The location is also excellent, very close to the small park and Longyan South Road, and a taxi ride is just the minimum fare!

The room was clean and well-designed. Public transport was a bit lacking, possibly due to ongoing city construction. There were no bus routes nearby, so I had to take a taxi or walk to get around.

This Ibis hotel is very new, opened in 2025. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the bedding and towels are very clean. There's no renovation smell at all. The staff are very polite. I booked a room without breakfast, but when I went to the restaurant in the morning to ask for some milk for my coffee, the restaurant staff enthusiastically told me to help myself. Thumbs up for the thoughtful and polite Chaoshan people! And the price is really affordable.

The hotel is new and very clean, with a gym for early morning workouts. The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk to Sanzhong and Hua Wu Road Food Street, and only about ten minutes to Longyan South Road. It's quiet despite being central, and parking and getting a taxi are both very easy. There's a wide variety of food delivery options, and the robot quickly brings orders to your room. Breakfast has a good selection, and the front desk even provided a local guide, which was a thoughtful touch. Very satisfied!

Pretty good, not bad at all. Even though there's construction outside, it's not too noisy. It's fine. I booked this room specifically because I saw it had a small table. All good.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Shantou! It's very close to Xiaogongyuan, Xidi Park, Zhongshan Park, and Longyan South Food Street, and only a 20-minute drive from the high-speed rail station. Even though there's road construction nearby, it's surprisingly quiet. The lobby and elevators always smell pleasant, and the front desk staff are friendly. The bed is just the right firmness, and I really liked the duvet – it's thin but very warm. There's also a mini-fridge in the room.
