I had a truly rejuvenating stay at 菩树山舍 (Pushu Mountain Lodge). Tucked away in the serene mountains of Shaoguan, this retreat offers a perfect blend of tranquility, nature, and spiritual charm. The surroundings are lush and peaceful—ideal for meditation, reflection, and escaping the city noise.
The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. They even helped arrange vegetarian meals, shared local wisdom, and made sure every guest felt like family. The rooms are clean, beautifully designed with natural materials, and carry a calming energy.
If you’re seeking a soulful getaway to reconnect with nature and yourself, this is the place. I left with a peaceful heart and look forward to returning again.

1. One of the floor heaters in the room was broken and there was a squeaking sound when it was turned on; 2. There were bugs on the bathroom towels, so I asked the store clerk to come up and take them away on WeChat; 3. There were sudden power outages twice in a row at night, and the clerk explained that the floor heater and air conditioner in the room tripped at the same time;
4. I didn’t have breakfast. I looked around and found that there were few options.
5. When leaving, I gave two cups of coffee and a small box of snacks as gifts.

A homestay with a very nice design. The room's hardware and soft furnishings are of high quality, and the bedding is comfortable and clean. When winter comes, there is floor heating, which makes it warm but not dry. It is very close to Nanhua Temple, right at the entrance archway intersection. It is located near Nanhua Temple, next to an original ecological village with many farms. The room design is consistent with the description on Ctrip. The decoration is stylish and the facilities are also very new. Most importantly, it is very clean. The lady at the front desk is very welcoming. There is a grill in the lobby for baking sweet potatoes, as well as afternoon tea and goodnight sweet soup. 民宿旁一棵150歲的樟樹充滿禪意，院子裏的陳設簡潔又極度雅緻。晚上在他家院子裏沐浴月色、吹着晚風，聽着六祖壇經，真是再愜意不過，再應景不過。老闆娘人很nice幫我們約到了南華寺的早課，在虔誠的誦經中感受能量，在清晨的幽靜中體悟空境；前台的小哥哥也很nice晚上熬好糖水請我們品嚐。總之是一次很傾心的邂逅
