Nice hotel, only 15 minutes walking from the sea and oronko rock. Clean and staff was perfect

The room is quite old and noisy, but the overall experience is okay, the meal was good and it was nice to enjoy the onsen facility.

Very comfortable

Pros: The food was delicious, with a wide variety of fish, and I almost couldn't finish it. It was tasty, and the cafeteria staff was polite and welcoming. Cons: The facilities were shabby. For nearly 800 yuan, including two meals, the room was small, stuffy, and hot. There was no toilet or sink, and drinking water was inconvenient.

A word of advice to Chinese travelers: Before booking, always check if your hotel room has air conditioning! Otherwise, checking in during the scorching heat and being assigned a non-AC room can be incredibly frustrating. Thanks to the Ctrip agent who constantly communicated with the hotel front desk, and despite insisting I didn't see the "no air conditioning" notice, they finally upgraded me to a private Japanese-style room with a private bathroom and mountain views. This unexpectedly made my 3-day, 2-night trip to the Shiretoko Five Lakes a delight.

There is no air conditioning, so it would be nice if they opened the door before you entered the room. The food service was very good.

The hotel is far away, about ten minutes' walk from the bus station. You need to make your own bed, and the two buildings are not connected, so it is inconvenient to take a shower. This was the worst hotel experience of my entire trip to Japan! It's practically the worst I've ever had in my over a decade of travel in Australia and abroad! I originally booked a two-night triple tatami room. When checking in, a sweaty Western guest next to me complained that the room was uninhabitable. I immediately had a bad feeling, and sure enough, upon check-in, the room had no air conditioning, poor ventilation, and was directly across from the hot springs. The room was sweltering, and it was 30 degrees Celsius—unbearable! I later contacted the staff and asked if there was a cooler area to move around in or if I could sit in the restaurant. The answer was, "The hotel doesn't have that kind of space." I then asked if I could get a cooler room, and was told they had air conditioning, but it would cost an extra 9,000 yen, and that they didn't have it that night, nor were they guaranteed to have it the next day. The entire conversation was just "respectful," but with no real intention to help resolve any issues. The whole night was a torture, and there were so many bugs that I couldn't even turn on the lights. I couldn't stand it any more and decided to leave the next day. If we couldn't change rooms, we'd have to endure another night, and the children and elderly were already feeling extremely uncomfortable. As expected from previous communication, they refused to refund any fees for the second day, including accommodation and meals. They offered the same attitude, with no genuine apology or action. I really don't want to deal with this hotel again. Their seemingly polite, yet indifferent and impervious attitude is truly disgusting. After leaving the hotel, I went back to look at the room types listed online. None of them had air conditioning listed, but heating (a slight misconception would have you believe the rooms had air conditioning). But why, upon arrival, could you pay extra to get an air-conditioned room? This hotel's behavior is truly disgusting. Booking in Shiretoko too late left me with no other options, and I made this mistake. I urge everyone to avoid this hotel and avoid it, as it truly ruins your travel experience.

The room is like the one you would stay in on a school trip in junior high school.

It is a large B&B on a hillside. The owner will explain everything about staying here very carefully to the customers. It is very impressive. The whole environment is well organized and well managed. It makes you feel at home. This time I stayed in a new hotel. Floor, there is a faint scent of mats in the spacious room, the dinner is sumptuous, the service in the cafeteria is very good, and the sense of ceremony is full. After dinner, I soaked in the hot springs, which was very comfortable to relieve fatigue. I saw many people traveling on motorcycles staying here There are many high-end motorcycles here, which shows that it is a popular inn. I will choose to stay here next time.

A bit far from the station, but the room was big and clean

Hotels in Shiretoko are quite expensive, especially in the peak season in winter, so I chose this one on the mountain. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the 711 supermarket at the foot of the mountain, and it also takes 20 minutes to walk to the nearest restaurant. There is nothing nearby. Fortunately, the hotel has free shuttle to the BUS station (you need to call), and I drove a domestic 1 million alpha to pick me up, and the ride experience was not bad. The next day I went to Shiretoko for hiking, and they could also pick me up directly at the hotel, which was pretty good. I booked a Japanese tatami room, which happened to be on the second floor of the new building, facing the yard. The room was very comfortable and spacious. There are public washing machines, tea machines, and ice machines--I love them. The hot spring is also good, not crowded, and larger than the hotel in Abashiri. The breakfast is a set meal, which is okay, and you need to book a time in advance. I don’t know if it’s because of the peak season of the Spring Festival, but the two front desks are Chinese and easy to communicate.

The hotel is a short walk from the station, but it does not affect its unique hot spring hotel. The front desk service is friendly. The room is a traditional tatami, so there is no toilet in the room.
