We arrived late c11pm and was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Once we had gotten into our room we were brought food, sandwiches and fruit. Day one we got up and planned to have a day by the pool which we were excited for, if you’re looking for relaxation, peace and tranquility this is not the hotel for that, very loud music plays all day at the pool. The pool itself is ok and with comfortable sun beds, there just isn’t enough of them or space for the volume of guests so getting a sun bed is a real pain and we found ourselves completely boxed in and surrounded by early afternoon. We then decided that we would need to find somewhere else to spend lazy days on a sunbed, and so off we went to the beach every day using the hotels “limousine“ service which was great we didn’t have any issues booking up or using the service. Note that the shuttle service and limousine services are different to the shuttle which will take you to Naama Bay for free where as everything else will have a price - we went to El Fanar daily at a price of $6 for 2 return. We found the food at the hotel very nice, a reasonable amount of choice and all pretty tasty and flavourful. I’m quite picky and was able to find something to eat every day even if just meat and salad. The team at the hotel are wonderful, happy, smiling, helpful this from groundsmen to room staff. They can’t do enough for you, and truly take pride in making sure that you enjoy your holiday. The gardens are beautiful really well kept and nice to take a stroll around. The rooms (well at least ours) is dated, I didn’t expect anything less though given the price of the holiday however the beds are very comfortable and linen changed almost daily. Shower was very small but pretty decent once it got going with warm water. We were in room 1111, ground floor right next to the pool. Be warned, all rooms around the pool are subject to very loud music from morning through to approx 11pm at night and there is a very loud DJ that likes to shout wap wap ALOT - thankfully the aircon unit drowned out the noise in the evening. There is some hammering and drilling in the evening around 5-6pm but we thought that with a hotel that’s open year round they need to do repairs and maintenance sometime and this was probably the best time given people are getting ready and going out for dinner and it really doesn’t last that long. That said whilst getting ready to leave our room and check out for 2pm there was persistent drilling and hammering for a few hours. The lack of WiFi was a tad annoying, only available in the bar, restaurant and reception area.. meant that when people actually should be talking and socialising with each other were like zombies on their phones catching up (myself included). If this is your first time in Egypt bring American dollars a lot of the excursions will be priced and the preferred payment is dollars. Despite some of the negatives we had a really lovely holiday and this hotel was a goo
