First off, apologies for the long review, but I feel like the longest reviews are the best as this could potentially sway your decision to where you spend the next week or two of your life. I’ll break it down into different categories. Location: Good location only a 10 minute walk to naama bay, and directly opposite the sister hotel which has the beach which you can go into. Also has the Cleo Waterpark a 5 minute walk through the hotel which is free for guests. I don’t think the park was fully open as it was technically ‘winter’ so I’m sure if you look to book in ‘summer’ it will be fully opened. Food: Food isn’t the best, but not the worst either. I heard other guests saying how this was the worst food ever. It’s not, but I can see how some people may struggle to find something they like every meal time, but for this you have to think of it like ‘you pay for what you get’. Entertainment: Probably the only reason this doesn’t get a 5 star. Not sure why they even have an entertainment team to be honest. In the day, around 10/11am they put on some music and do a dance and I think they do the same some time in the afternoon. I think they do some yoga on some of the days but that’s it. In the evening, they had a fire breather guy one night and some live music another night. But usually they just get some people on stage for a ‘competition’ and then do the same dances they did in the day. Also, on Sunday they will ask you if you want to pay roughly 1,000egp to go to pacha nightclub, where you get driven and driven back, free entry and a free drink. Do not do this. They don’t drive you, they walk you in a group and then you have to make your own way back. The drink is rubbish and watered down as you’d expect. It being only a 10 minute walk away, use the 1,000 (£17) to pay the entry and get yourself a decent drink. Staff: The food staff and bar staff are amazing. Special shout out to, Khaled in the food hall, Mohab behind the bar and Hassan one of the food managers. You 3 are definitely the nicest people there! Yeah that’s it, don’t want to take up too much of your time. If you’ve read other reviews talking about all the ‘rude Russians’ then this is probably half true, don’t want to say all of them are rude but I don’t think they queue like us brits and like to push in. I’d say roughly 80% of the people there were Russian.

My wife and I have been going to this hotel ,on and off, for the last 20 years. It was built some 40 years ago and was owned and run by the Hilton group. 5 years ago it was sold and is now run by the Jazz Group . Note I say run by the Jazz Group not owned by them. Jazz is a management company on behalf of different owners. The hotel is in a superb position with a large beachfront and a short distance from the main center. The staff are the friendliest most helpful bunch of people you could want to meet. A special mention to Eid, Mohamad and the breakfast chef(who's name I never found out) from the restaurant and Diana from customer services. Now we come to the sad bit. I feel that since taking over the hotel the new owners have invested no money in it at all. The main door look did not work, the toilet seat was falling off. Both of those problems were sorted quickly. The bathroom door did not close properly due to 40 years of paint on paint. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, and the french door never ever closing properly It needs major investment in it ,not money sucked out of it. As a side issue the majority clients of the hotel and Sharm itself are Russian. Sharm is suffering from troubles of the past plus the effects of covid. Both the Hotel and the place itself need to do a lot,lot better or I fear for the place and the wonderful people who work there.

We were at the hotel on November 1-5, 2023 as a family of four. I really liked everything, the territory, the service, the cleaning (thanks to Ahmed), the food at the hotel. The animation for children is good, the animators are trying, especially Yana, it is clear that almost everything rests on it. The animation from the local guys is a little annoying - it’s a bit rude, inappropriate jokes, The area is clean, green, there are no mosquitoes or any kind of living creatures. The beach is sandy, like new in the morning, apparently everything is put in order early in the morning. The sea is shallow, which is convenient for children. There is no reef as such, we went for snorkeling to the private beach for 3 dollars per person, a 10-minute walk towards the Baron Hotel, the beach is located behind it. There’s a reef there, it’s just super, and you can go diving for 30 dollars 15 minutes. The food is good, varied, the chefs are great. Crabs, seafood, tuna, mango, lamb, everything was very tasty. I especially liked the pastry chef - fruit baskets with mangoes are just heavenly pleasure 😌 I didn’t like the local alcohol and all kinds of sprites (they taste like bleach), and there were no cocktails made from them. And the glasses are reusable plastic, shaped like glass. Only in the lobby bar are there glass glasses and cups. Reusable plastic after so many people is somehow not very good, apparently because of this and chlorine drinks, the eldest son got an upset stomach. Paid minibar in the room, which was surprising. Check-out was late, the room was vacated by 12:00 and we used all the hotel services until late in the evening. It was not possible to extend the room because the hotel was at a standstill and the rooms were fully occupied. The only downside of the hotel is the plastic reusable cups for drinks!
Iberotel Palace - Adults Only 16+

Just back after a week's break at the Iberotel Palace. I can thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay this being my fourth visit after a number of years away. I read several reviews before returning as it had been some time since I was here and can say that the negative reviewers seem to have visited somewhere else. My only surprise in visiting this hotel is that the number of British visitors seems to be less. I cannot fathom why. I would recommend it to anyone who is seeking an unhurried, quiet, warm and since children under 16 aren't accommodated, peaceful holiday. We had ample choices of food and plentiful quantity and quality of drinks. If I had gripes these would be matters beyond management control such as the fairly chaotic security arrangements at the airport and my own oversight regarding insect repellent. Havng been previously in January or February biting insects were not a problem, however peak season for sand flies is March/April and I hadn't brought repellent, my fault not the hotel's. I am a bass player in a group and duets of singer and guitarists singing to backing tapes are not ”bands”! However none were bad at what they did perform and the plentiful food and drink compensated. We didn't undertake any trips or excursions so can't comment on those but The Old Market is literally on the doorstep and we did cross the street to visit.

Had this holiday booked for months, naturally I kept checking the trip advisor every so often to see what to expect and was always confused by the completely mixed reviews. It was hard not to be put off by the poor reviews regarding the food, the rooms and the cleanliness however I convinced myself people were being fussy. Quite frankly they weren’t. We arrived late in the evening on a Friday and was greeted by the staff. The receptionists were really friendly and welcoming, we received a cold drink when we arrived and someone offered to bring our bags to our room. The rest of the evening we just found ourself more and more disappointed. The room was bare, 1 bed, 1 tv stand, 1 ancient tv, 1 tiny table, 1 chair, 2 bedside tables. No arm chair, no desk, no kettle, no basic amenities. WiFi did not work anywhere other than the reception or bar! Really difficult. We threw our stuff down and tried out the bar, one of the bar men was friendly but the rest all looked so miserable. Equally tiny bar area, entertainment was a ‘’mini disco’ which they seemed to have every night which was some music with a little disco light going. The bathroom was the killer, stained towels, floor was dirty, the tiny shower was incredibly depressing and then top it off I turned on the shower head and he water ran merky black to grey for a solid 30 seconds. I immediately screamed to my partner to come and look as I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. That concluded our evening and we very quickly booked another hotel which I could not recommend enough. (Cleopatra luxury hotel). We left in the morning the next day haven spoken to the receptionist we just explained this was not up to standard and not like the pictures. They had Ofcourse offered to upgrade our room (after saying they have given us a deluxe one on entry). We have always been more than happy to try a budget hotel but the best decision we made was leaving there, we know it would’ve ruined our experience. I would deeply recommend paying a little extra for one of the many resort hotels on the same roads. When we arrived to our new hotel and explained how our day had gone and how we could not understand the positive trio advisor reviews they explained they were likely fake it that is very common there. The grounds were nice and well maintained but the pool was nothing like the pictures. - Cannot comment on the food as we do not attend dinner or breakfast, however we were given a plate of late dinner on our arrival which was bruised and batter fruit with a cling film over it. Really unfortunate that it went that way and we essentially paid for 2 holidays but I would rather that then regret it.

Lovely small hotel with most amazing staff you can only ask for. Service like in top 6start hotels. Everyone super friendly and very helpful always trying to be on top of the best service. Begging with simple things like opening doors and always smiley faces. Surprisingly not many other hotels has that too. Food I wood say average but always fresh and so many choices everyone can definitely find something for themselves. Bar and restaurant staff always friendly and not letting you carry even a cup of coffee, they will do it for you. Some little entertainment every night organised by super funny and attentive guy (forgot his name, something starting with B) 😜 Zakaria spa. Massage top top top. They fixed my shoulder with which I did have a problem from 2 years. English NHS couldn't help. 1 Egyptian massage magically sort it out. And I can't forget of course about taxi service, always available always on time, always super polite and professional. Taxi manager Mahmoud was always helping us to choose the best places to visit . Diver amazing, polite and always on time. Forgot his name too 🫣 We felt like celebrities...
