The service at Magnolia Hotel is truly outstanding! I arrived late at night from Xiamen, and the front desk staff was still incredibly warm and attentive. They even upgraded our room for free, which immediately left a great impression. There was only one chair in the room initially, but after a quick call to the front desk, they promptly brought another one – their response time was super efficient! When my husband injured his leg and we needed a late check-out, we asked about the extra cost, but they extended it for free. Their service attitude was consistently excellent. I first stayed here 20 years ago when the hotel just opened, and even then, I had a great experience and recommended it to many friends. This stay has only reaffirmed its quality. A huge shout-out to the front desk staff!

The robot delivered my meal to the room next door. To make matters worse, the tea bag provided with the complimentary tea was empty and unsealed! While the hotel's location is excellent for the Forbidden City's central street, being within easy walking distance, its distance from the subway station makes it inconvenient for exploring other attractions.

I didn't like it at all. The place was dirty and the service was terrible. I reluctantly stayed for one night and promptly checked out. Definitely won't be returning! Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Among the options I compared, this place was the most affordable. It's a prime choice if you're simply looking for clean and basic accommodation. Its location is fantastic, being incredibly close to the Forbidden City, right at the foot of the ancient city wall. Parking was also very convenient, thanks to their private underground parking garage.

This was an exceptionally satisfying booking. Both the service and the hotel's environment were excellent. The rooms and facilities were exactly as pictured on their official website.
