Grand Mercure Shenzhen Guangming

I chose this hotel for my business trip to Guangming, based on some decent reviews, but I was a bit disappointed. Pros: Convenient transportation and amenities. The airport waiting lounge is right downstairs, along with a shopping mall and a variety of dining options, which is very handy. Cons: From the parking lot to the entrance, the lobby, and the elevators, everything felt a bit cramped and basic. The room itself was very spacious, but the decor and finishes were quite ordinary, and the bathroom layout wasn't great. Breakfast offered a good selection, but the quality was just average. Honestly, for the price, I don't think it offers good value for money.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days with my child. We visited the Guangming Science and Technology Museum and the International Art Museum, and also took a trip to Hong Kong. The hotel's location was quite convenient for all of these activities. There's a shuttle bus service to and from Hong Kong Disneyland, and it's also very close to the two museums! We booked the National Treasure Friends Family Room, which was very spacious and adorable. My child loved it! The overall attention to detail was excellent. The hotel's food was also a highlight. The Beijing roast duck was delicious! The fish head soup had generous ingredients and was fresh without any fishy taste. Overall, it was a great stay, very convenient and hassle-free for traveling with a child, and there are many attractions nearby.

The heated pool and fitness facilities are excellent, and the nearby commercial area makes it super convenient for outings with kids. Overall, it offers a high level of comfort and is a great choice for a short family trip. Highly recommend it for families!

We stayed in the Panda Twin Room with our child 🐼. The room was spacious enough, and the two beds were perfect for kids 🛏️. The panda-themed decor immediately charmed my little one upon entering! The location is very family-friendly 📍, within walking distance of Guangming Culture and Art Center and the Science Museum 🎨🔬. We could keep the kids entertained all day without exhausting ourselves, making sightseeing effortless. The biggest surprise was the direct cross-border bus to Hong Kong Disneyland right downstairs 🚌✨! We just walked out and got on, no need to drag the kids around making transfers. It saved us the hassle of planning routes, which was incredibly convenient! The front desk and housekeeping staff were very thoughtful 💁‍♀️, providing excellent service for families. Overall, it was a great experience 👍, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Guangming! 🌟

The location is convenient, right above Wanda Plaza, making dining very easy. The room was also quite spacious. However, I asked the front desk for some notepads in the afternoon, and they didn't deliver them even by the next day. I had to follow up again to finally get a few sheets of paper. Are a few sheets of paper really that expensive?

I highly recommend staying at Grand Mercure Shenzhen Guangming for family trips with kids to Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The transportation is super convenient, with a subway station right downstairs and a cross-border bus stop right at the entrance that goes directly to various popular attractions in Hong Kong. They have many types of family rooms. My kid absolutely loved the treehouse-themed family room we booked. It was spacious, came with a tent, kids' toiletries, and the bedding was very comfortable. The Roasted Pigeon at Gui Ting restaurant is very authentic, and their dinner buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, including oysters and freshly carved beef, all you can eat. It's a one-stop shop for accommodation, dining, and travel. For families traveling with kids in the Greater Bay Area, this place is a no-brainer!

This Grand Mercure really changed my impression of the brand. The room decor is elegant and stylish, with a smart layout, and it's quite spacious. Breakfast offers a great variety, and the dining environment on the 8th floor is lovely with fantastic views from the window. The outdoor pool isn't very large and it's located on the mall's rooftop, which means it can get quite smoky/greasy. It seems to be mainly for swimming lessons, and kids aren't allowed to use swimming rings, only swim caps are mandatory.

Getting to the Guangming Science Museum was also very easy. It's perfect for short trips, avoiding long commutes, which is especially great for toddlers. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding comfortable, and the family-friendly details were thoughtfully provided. The staff were friendly, and check-in was efficient and quick. The overall pace of our trip was relaxed and unhurried, perfectly suited for families with small children. We'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next visit to Guangming with our little one. Highly recommended for all parents!
