Volkswagen Design Hotel (Shenzhen Futian Zhuzilin Subway Station) Reviews

The hotel is conveniently located near the Zhuzilin subway station, making transportation very easy. The room was very clean and the environment was quiet. We booked a twin room with a projector, and the beds were large enough, the projector image was clear, and the smart control system was very convenient to use. The staff were enthusiastic and the facilities were all well-maintained and functional. My friend and I had a very comfortable stay, and we would consider this hotel again on our next visit to Shenzhen.

The room was clean and tidy. There were plenty of food options downstairs, and the subway station was conveniently located nearby. I had a very comfortable night's sleep. Recommended!

I seldom want to write negative review especially about service of the hotel staff, just to share my thoughts about this hotel, I can understand this is a budget hotel so we cannot expect something great however, I have experienced staying in many budget hotel in China which I can understand nothing is perfect but this hotel by far is the worst service that the two staff lady had given, for the least of being friendly and have a basic manner to accommodate foreigners guests travelling for holiday in china. They don't seems to care about their job wholeheartedly. I do hope the owner of this hotel train the staff with Friendliness and good manner towards the guest for maintaining a good reputation in the future.

My flight was delayed, so I arrived quite late at night, but the front desk staff was super enthusiastic and even helped me with my luggage (I felt a little embarrassed!). The hotel itself is small, but the decor is very new and it's quite clean. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and ordering takeout is convenient. Even during Chinese New Year, there were plenty of options. Public transport is also pretty accessible. I actually wanted to extend my stay for another night, but they were fully booked the next day! 🤣

The hygiene was terrible, there were bugs crawling around, it was disgusting, I wouldn't recommend it! I can accept a small room, but I can't accept a room this bad!

Extremely bad. The pictures are completely different from the reality. The room was moldy and the soundproofing was terrible. The room was also very small. I was shocked.

The hygiene was terrible; there were still false eyelashes on the walls, the pillows were dirty, and hair was on the floor that hadn't been swept away either.

There's a night market downstairs, so it's a bit noisy. Overall, it's not bad, and the cleanliness is acceptable, but there's still a little dirt around the bed.

Upon check-in, I saw two rooms. One faced the so-called garden (generally quieter), but there was obvious mold in one corner of the roof, and the room smelled of smoke. The other faced the main street and had poor soundproofing; the receptionist said it was noisy outside until 2-3 AM. So I was forced to choose the moldy room. Then I saw that the bathroom was so cramped that it was impossible to use the toilet properly (a toilet seat was needed), and the towels were very stiff, like they had been waxed. There was also mold around the sink. It wasn't until night that I realized both sides had very poor soundproofing. Overall, the environment, hygiene, and service were all very poor. Compared to the nearby Home Inn, the location is even worse, and the room condition is much worse. I can't understand why the price is comparable to Home Inn. I also can't understand why Ctrip put them so high on the list.
