Akana La Orange Sea Sunset Boutique Hotel

I came alone, feeling stressed from work and just wanted to relax by the sea for a couple of days. But this place gave me so many pleasant surprises and made me feel so welcome! **Environment**: Let's start with the room. Perhaps because it was off-season, they 'upgraded' my room. It had an 'ocean-facing' balcony with an outdoor tub, directly overlooking the sea. If I could, I would have slept on that balcony – it was absolutely stunning and incredibly picturesque! **Service**: I have to say, my 'little butler was amazing!' I really didn't want to go downstairs for breakfast looking dishevelled, and they actually delivered it to my room! It was several huge boxes! I've included photos, but I didn't open everything because there was simply too much food to eat. Also, the hotel room package I bought included daily welcome fruit, mini-bar drinks, double breakfast, double afternoon tea, double late-night sweet soup, and even three professionally retouched travel photos (and they didn't even try to upsell anything; the photography was professional and patient!). I initially thought these would just be some perfunctory offerings from the hotel, but I was so wrong – every single thing was a delightful surprise. What kind of amazing hotel is this? Is service really this competitive now? Then there's the restaurant. While the taste wasn't incredibly astonishing, the service was spot-on! And the complimentary fries and fried chicken, oh my goodness! It was so much that I didn't even need to eat dinner, haha! 😂 It indirectly saved me a lot of money 💰. After a long time researching, Akanara truly didn't disappoint me. Service: I traveled during the off-season, and they kindly upgraded my room for free. There's a shuttle service available (though it's not a long walk to my room anyway), and the staff were incredibly responsive to all my requests. They delivered fresh fruit daily, and guests have free access to a fantastic kids' club and library. Facilities: Both the soft and hard facilities were excellent. The bedding was clean and comfortable (I'm a bit particular about sleep and pillows). The best part was the motion-sensor light under the bed, which was perfect for getting up at night. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the shower had strong, comfortable water pressure. The toilet seat even had a heating function! The screen casting was easy and clear. They provided an eye mask and earplugs. There's a mini-fridge with 4 bottles of water daily, plus 2 drinks on the first day. Getting a taxi was convenient! Environment: Right downstairs is the hotel's private beach. On a sunny day, the water is crystal clear, and there are swings – perfect for kids to play on. The only minor drawback is that the sand is a bit coarse, but it's incredibly convenient nonetheless. The hotel reception area is also an excellent spot to watch the sunset. The reception is in building 44, and no matter which building your room is in, it's not a far walk. Overall, it's a fantastic hotel! I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit!

The environment is great, the room view is fantastic, and the amenities are well-appointed. The staff are all very friendly. There's a shuttle bus to take you down to the beach, which wasn't crowded. We had sunny weather and the sea was incredibly blue and clear. On the second day, we went boating, but it was cloudy, so the sea wasn't as beautiful. Overall, it was a great experience.

The room environment was decent, and the balcony offered sea views. However, the facilities were a bit lacking, and the service and cleanliness were just so-so. This might be due to the holiday rush, but the beach was quite close.

The location is a bit out of the way, and during Chinese New Year, food delivery and ride-sharing services were a bit inconvenient. However, it was so comfortable and relaxing here that I'll definitely come back next Chinese New Year!

The room was cozy, clean, and tidy. The bedding was premium, and the zero-pressure mattress was incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff upgraded us to a room with a hot tub, and the huge balcony offered a fantastic view of the deep blue sea. To the right, rolling mountains could be seen, and the air was filled with birdsong. It was a true sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cliffside restaurant and the colorful pathways were exquisitely designed with great care. The pizza set meal at the western restaurant was delicious and affordable. In the evening, we could watch the orange sunset and enjoy the complimentary sweet soup from the guesthouse. Highly recommended!
