We stayed at this hotel in Shenzhen for a weekend trip with our two kids. It's a fantastic choice for a family getaway, thanks to its beachfront location, an adjoining mall, and plenty of entertainment facilities. On one side, it's adjacent to the Qushui Bay waterfront street and shopping center, and on the other, it offers water views and lush greenery towards the OCT Wetland and Mangrove Nature Reserve. It's an oasis of tranquility amidst the bustling city. At night, the lights, the lake, and the occasional water show fireworks viewed from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room are incredibly beautiful, completely unlike the monotonous typical business hotel. First, let's talk about transportation, which is very friendly for independent travelers and families. It's about a 1.1 km walk to Shenzhen Bay Park Metro Station and about 1.2 km to Shenwan Station, making it very convenient to connect to the entire city via Line 9. Taking a taxi to Futian Station is about 7.5 km, Shenzhen North Station just over 14 km, and Bao'an Airport around 26 km. With good traffic, it takes a little over half an hour to reach, and from Shenzhen Bay Port, it's just about ten minutes. If you're driving, the hotel has its own underground parking lot with charging spaces, and the elevator goes directly to the lobby, so hauling luggage with family in tow isn't a struggle. You hardly need to worry about the surrounding amenities. Downstairs, you'll find O'PLAZA OCT Harbour Shopping Center and Qushui Bay Food Street, where you can find everything from coconut chicken and Chaoshan cuisine to coffee, light meals, and an Ole supermarket – a one-stop shop. There are plenty of dining options if you have kids and don't want to venture far. Within walking distance, you can explore the OCT Harbour Water Show Theater and the OCT Happy Ocean Dream; you can also ride a shared bike or stroll two to three kilometers to Shenzhen Bay Park to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset over the mangroves. The rooms truly embody the "executive apartment" concept. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite starting at fifty square meters, and two-bedroom suites are 130-140 square meters. The living room, bedroom, open-plan kitchen, and wet/dry separated bathroom are clearly delineated, and there's also a small balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction cooker, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and cookware/cutlery, so you can cook a simple meal or reheat takeout just like at home. The washer and dryer combo is a godsend for business travelers; you don't have to accumulate dirty laundry over several days. The bedding is moderately firm, and the soundproofing is good, ensuring a quiet and restful night's sleep. The children's club/playground is free for guests to use, and the slides and ball pit are enough to keep kids entertained for half a day. Breakfast is served at the Coast Restaurant, with freshly pulled beef noodles/Lanzhou noodles being a hidden gem. Hot dishes, bread, fruit, and coffee – all the basic options are available, so you can have a full meal even if you have an early start. Service throughout was comfortable. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were quick, and they proactively informed us about the swimming pool, gym, children's facilities, and parking routes. Room service was responsive to calls, arranging extra supplies, a baby crib, and late check-out appropriately, without any coldness or prevarication. The cleaning staff in the public areas were diligent, keeping the elevator lobbies, corridors, and poolside clean. The Marriott standard was consistently evident. You just go downstairs and cross the connecting corridor to find the shopping mall, Ole' supermarket, and a bunch of restaurants. If you want to catch the Water Show Theater light show at night, you don't need a taxi; you can just stroll over. It's about a ten-minute walk to Shenzhen Bay Park Metro Station, and it's convenient for taxis to Futian Station, Shenzhen North Station, and Bao'an Airport. This balance of business and leisure is super important when traveling with kids and elderly family members. The room truly is an 'executive apartment,' not just a regular hotel room. Upon entering, the living room is spacious, with comfortable high ceilings. The warm tones and wooden furniture are understated, making it feel like home. Starting from 87 square meters, the one-bedroom unit has a clear division of space: living room, separate bedroom, open-plan kitchen, workspace, and an entryway. The south-facing balcony directly overlooks the OCT Harbour lake and Shenzhen Bay in the distance. During the day, you can watch egrets in the mangrove wetlands; in the evening, you see the sunset painting the sea; and at night, the water show fireworks burst right outside your window. My parents and child wouldn't move from the sofa! The king-size bed has thick bedding, and there are two types of pillows (soft and firm), so your lower back doesn't feel unsupported when lying down. The soundproofing is incredibly effective; you can barely hear children running in the hallway or toilets flushing next door. We slept until we naturally woke up all three nights. The kitchen was the biggest bonus this time. It’s fully equipped with an induction hob, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, range hood, pots, and utensils. They even provided dish soap and laundry detergent. We cooked millet porridge in the morning, heated up takeout for lunch, and my mother stewed some soup in the evening, completely avoiding the need to eat out for every meal. Even more impressive, there's a separate washing machine and dryer tucked next to the bathroom, so you don't have to worry about clothes not drying during the humid spring season in the south – business travelers and long-term residents will understand the value of this. The bathroom has a wet-dry separation, the bathtub is long enough to stretch out in, the shower has stable water pressure and instant hot water, and the toiletries are Marriott's standard brand, with a pleasant, not overpowering scent. The room's cleanliness and attention to detail were excellent! The public facilities are up to 'apartment' standards. The Coast Restaurant on the 3rd floor offers a rich variety for breakfast. The gym is open 24 hours with sufficient equipment. The kids' playroom has slides, building blocks, and picture books. The front desk can also provide children's slippers, bathrobes, and toothbrushes, which saved us half a suitcase when traveling with our two-year-old. Service is the soul of Marriott Executive Apartments. Check-in at the T2 third-floor front desk was efficient. The duty manager and front desk staff were excellent, enthusiastically offering help, especially Mr. Wang Xin. The bellhop immediately came to hold the door and help with luggage when he saw our stroller. A robot delivered takeout to our door, and the concierge staff gave us recommendations for places to take our child, including which section of Shenzhen Bay is best for watching the sunrise and where to ride balance bikes. This kind of proactive response makes a huge difference. Considering the Shenzhen Bay commercial area, the value for money is outstanding. A regular king-size room in a five-star hotel in the same area might not even have a kitchen or laundry facilities, but here you get a complete living system. For family travel, per person, it’s more cost-effective than booking two separate rooms, and for long-term stays, it's even better value monthly. When booking, I recommend the 'OCT Harbour View/Bay View' room types. If you need pool access with your child, remember to register at the front desk first. Beyond that, the location, space, cleanliness, view, breakfast, family-friendliness, and service are all top-notch. I would happily return for family vacations, weekend trips with kids, or business trips to Shenzhen. I recommend it to anyone who worries about hotels making them feel 'like they're rushing through life'.

The room was spacious with a great view. It wasn't crowded, and the service was good, with very helpful staff. The location was also excellent, right across from a park and next to a shopping mall with plenty of restaurant options. The hotel breakfast, however, was just average.

The room was clean. My favorite part was the noodles made by this uncle for breakfast. As a southerner, I've never had such delicious noodles in my life. The broth was tasty, and the meat was good too. He's truly a treasure of an uncle!

The hotel is located right above a shopping mall, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The mall also offers plenty of family-friendly activities, so if you're traveling with kids, this hotel is a must-choose. The room itself is spacious and very clean, and it even comes with a kitchen, washing machine, and dryer.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this is an exception. I booked a two-bedroom, one-living room suite for three nights, costing over 6000. On the first night, a friend came over for dinner, and we ordered takeout. When the delivery arrived downstairs, I asked the front desk if the robot could bring it up. They said it would be a half-hour wait. So, I went down to pick it up myself, but there was too much to carry. I asked a staff member for help, and their reaction was an unbelievably disdainful and unwilling look on their face. The bed sheets and duvet covers weren't changed for all three nights. The washed dishes weren't even put away in the cupboards; they were just piled up everywhere. It was simply a mess, dirty and disorganized.
