Zhonghao Yueji Hotel (Shenzhen Qianhai Branch) Reviews

The hotel is located in a really tiny, bustling area. If you're driving, parking is limited to just a few spots, exactly as shown in the pictures. If you arrive late, the remaining spots are very narrow and difficult to maneuver into. Upon checking in at the front desk, I had booked a tatami room. They said they were upgrading me, and I assumed it would be an upgraded tatami room. However, when I got to the room, it was a regular room. I specifically came for a tatami room, so it felt like a wasted trip. The elevator buttons on the way up were very old. Once in the room, it was incredibly noisy; the sounds from outside were very loud. Then I saw a note on the table apologizing for recent construction. So, they 'upgraded' my room just to put me through this inconvenience? The windows were also very old and worn, and the whole hotel felt like it was renovated from an old building. The bathroom wasn't very clean, and unbelievably, it didn't even have a main light; I had to shower using just the light from the sink. That's just ridiculous. In the evening, I asked for two bottles of water, and the ones they brought were smaller than the bottles already in the room. Overall, I feel this stay was completely not worth the price. It felt like a much lower-tier hotel. I don't recommend it and will never go back.
