**Hotel Review: Aesthetic Excellence Overshadowed by Comfort Failures** Our recent stay at this supposedly 5-star hotel left us with mixed feelings. While the hotel clearly invested heavily in aesthetics, creating a visually stunning environment that looks fantastic in photos, the design seemed to prioritize form over function, ultimately compromising our comfort. Sadly, this became a deal-breaker for us. The most glaring issue was the room's ventilation and temperature control—or lack thereof. We visited in early March, and the entire building was excessively heated. Despite being from a tropical country and accustomed to warm weather, I found myself sweating in shorts and a singlet. The staff, though polite and eager to help, seemed powerless to address the issue. They provided us with a small portable AC unit, which was better than nothing, but it was clear from their demeanor that this was a recurring problem for guests. Sleeping was a nightmare. The only way to cool the room slightly was to keep the windows open, but this meant having the blinds and curtains up, allowing outside noise and light to flood in. The choice was between sleeping in a sauna-like environment or enduring the disturbances from outside. Needless to say, we had a terrible night's sleep and were relieved to check out after just one night. On a positive note, the service was impeccable. The staff truly deserve recognition for their efforts to assist guests despite the limitations they faced. The breakfast spread was also a highlight—delicious, varied, and reasonably priced, especially if you inform them in advance about adding breakfast to your stay. The room amenities were top-notch, and the spaciousness of the room added to the overall sense of luxury. We got a family suite which was plenty spacious and came with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 bathtubs and a living area. However, these positives couldn’t outweigh the discomfort caused by the poor temperature regulation. During our trip, we stayed in four different cities across China, and this was the only hotel that lacked proper air conditioning and heating controls. For a 5-star establishment, this is a significant oversight. In conclusion, while the hotel excels in aesthetics, service, and amenities, the lack of a well-thought-out solution for room temperature is a major drawback. Management needs to address this issue with a long-term fix. After all, no matter how beautiful a hotel looks, it’s hard to appreciate it when you can’t get a good night’s rest.

Good business hotel if you have business in the Shijiazhuang High Tech business Zone. The hotel serve only breakfast there is no provision for lunch or dinner. It is new and clean hotel only for business travellers. There is shopping mall just 10 metre away where you can go for quick Lunch or dinner.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in the beautiful city of Shijiazhuang for three nights, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and the outstanding service throughout my stay. The hotel itself is stunning, modern, clean, and well-maintained, offering both comfort and luxury. But what truly made my stay memorable was the hospitality of the staff. Everyone I encountered was kind, courteous, and eager to help. A special thanks to Vivian, the staff member who attended to me during my stay. She was incredibly professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Her attentiveness truly stood out and made a lasting impression. I highly recommend Intercontinental Hotel Shijiazhuang to anyone visiting the city. It’s a perfect blend of elegance and genuine hospitality.

The room is exactly the same as the pictures on the Internet. The decoration style is the same as the name. The furniture is smart. The sanitation is excellent. It is clean and reassuring. The surrounding transportation is extremely convenient. Next time I come to play, I will definitely choose this homestay. The projection is also very good. The stay experience is very good. The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient transportation and ample parking spaces. It is not far from the Hebei Museum and many delicious restaurants. The room is large, the high floor has a wide view, the accommodation is comfortable, and the facilities such as the gym, swimming pool, and restaurant are complete. The free fruit and children's toiletries kit are very thoughtful. However, the hotel's furniture and facilities are a bit old, and perhaps due to the excessive work pressure, the front desk staff rarely smile.

The hotel's health requirements are relatively high. Generally, I write so many reviews for less. I saw the newly opened store. The price/performance ratio is still very good. So I decided to Vienna with the mentality of trying. I didn't expect to come. I booked in just after 9pm after getting off the fast train. My host teacher picked me up from Shijiazhuang station and drove me to the hotel but we couldn't drive near, because the street was closed to traffic. We walked about 500m and my teacher helped translate at check in, as I was very tired after the long flight from Australia following directly by the 7hr train trip. I just used my passport. The room smelt a bit of cigarette smoke and the bad air quality seemed to be leaking in somewhere. I ran my portable air purifier all night. The bed was very comfortable and everything seemed in very good working condition apart from the thermostat. Despite trying to reduce the room temperature to 16-18°c it remained at 23-24°c which is too high for me. I had a boutique queen room that became very warm when opening the thick curtains. It is quiet and clean.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the staff gave me a very warm and thoughtful reception. They were always smiling and happy to answer my questions and provide assistance. Whether it was checking me in or asking questions, their professionalism and patience made me feel at home.

Very good hotel, quiet and comfortable, clean and simple, comfortable linens, convenient parking and rich breakfast. The service staff is enthusiastic and proactive, and actively seeks ways to solve guests' practical problems. Whether it is the front desk, room service, or restaurant waiter, they can all do the following: think what the guests think, worry about what the guests worry about, and have a service awareness that is deeply rooted in the hearts of the guests. The stay was very comfortable and quiet, and the air in the house was especially fresh! There is such a store in Shijiazhuang, which is really surprising. The garden on the rooftop is so unique, I like it very much. The room is also large and the breakfast is rich in variety!
