Super hotel with extremely attentive staff - nothing was too much. Room was a good size & extremely comfortable. Stunning view and, if up early enough, could catch the sunrise. Everything you'd expect from a 5° hotel. Lovely swimming pool & jacuzzi. Didn't use the gym. Exceptional breakfast with a choice of cooked options as well as a very well stocked buffet. Choice of western & Indian. Fabulous views. A good 15 minute walk to the Upper Mall (centre) but downhill on the way back. Would definitely stay at The Oberoi Cecil again if ever back in Shimla.

Great place. Perfect location, it's a nice walk to city center. Rooms are beautiful and confortable. The hotel is very well maintained for a heritage property. Pool area is very pleasant. Breakfast is good (only the toested bread is very cheap quality). We had very nice dinner with local specialities. I recommend.

The most beautiful hotel, with the best staff, attentive and efficient. Gorgeous rooms, well appointed with lovely decor. We had a balcony to look out over the mountains. A wonderful place to explore with lots of heritage. The bar is comfortable and the restaurant fabulous I’d thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting clean air, walking sightseeing and comfort

This hotel more than exceeded expectations. The room was lovely. The food very good. The staff were attentive. I particularly enjoyed the pianist playing in the atrium bar each evening. I used the pool and it was fine. The jacuzzi had fantastic views of the valley below. Shimla is well worth a visit and the Cecil Oberoi is the place to stay.

A fine old luxury hotel with old fashioned quality service. We visited as a couple as part of a luxury tailor made tour of North India. Swimming pool is amazing with views looking down the valley. Great breakfast choices well cooked. Upgraded to spacious room with views down the valley. Nice Bath. Free WiFi. Good Room service. Convenient location for exploring Shimla.

Sahil, Tanushree and Amber helped us organise and host a surprise anniversary lunch for our parent's 50th. The private party room, decoration, goid and hosting were all top class. The ease of booking and organising took the stress off us and allowed us to enjoy the moment to the full.

Wonderful hotel. Amazing staff throughout. We had a valley view room and it’s worth it. Breakfast is fabulous and so is the restaurant. We ate here the 3 days we stayed.
