The hotel is 850m away from the train station, it has an Onsen that’s very good, the rooms are big and nice but they have a strange smell.

There's a bit of history. The large suite room is large, comfortable and hygienic. It is fully equipped, and the best thing is the large window in the room. The view is okay. Of course, it is best to enjoy the independent hot spring in the room, but the price is really expensive because it does not include breakfast and dinner. The room may be newly renovated so it's relatively fresh and clean, but other places really need to be renovated. The fish tank in the lobby has an unpleasant smell. The staff's service attitude is very good and they are very helpful.

The view from the room is fantastic! Traditional Japanese room, the wood And tatami smell makes me feel calm and comfortable.
Enjoyed the onsen alone.
Dinner and breakfast is so yummy~

The hotel is conveniently located near the station and a tourist center where you can rent bicycles.
The views from the room are beautiful; it's nice to watch the sunrise and sunset on the sofa, admiring the ocean and port.
The hotel itself is quite dated, stuffy, and has a musty smell. While not everything is clean, the bed and bathroom with shower are clean and comfortable.
The onsen is decent.
The overall feeling is that a thorough cleaning and renovation is needed, then the hotel will be improved.

There are bed bugs in the room, there are bed bugs, there are bed bugs!!! I haven't been bitten by one in decades, but I encountered one today. The service points are for the Chinese girl at the front desk.
It's unbelievable that they don't provide breakfast!

Because the hotel was built in the 1920s and renovated in the 1980s, the facilities are relatively old. If you mind, you can book other new hotels such as Tokyu. The room I stayed in was a room with an open-air hot spring. I listened to the sound of the waves while watching the sea and enjoyed the fun of the seaside hot spring. There is also a large sea view bathing area for you to soak in. Outside the hotel window is Shimoda Port, which is not far from Shimoda Station, about 900 meters. The bus runs about once an hour, which is not very convenient. If the luggage is not heavy, you can walk along the road by yourself. If the luggage is heavy, you can also take a taxi at the station entrance. Because when I went there, the hotel restaurant was closed and I had to go out to eat. Turn left and there is a supermarket and a local Yoshinoya 500 meters away. You can order food in Chinese using the machine. Turn right and you will go to the station and the town. The hotel can buy tickets for the port sightseeing boat, and take a boat to the port for a 20-minute tour. There are many places to eat in the town, but it is a bit difficult to communicate without Japanese. If the restaurant is open, it is best to order directly from the hotel.

The room is great, and you can see many people fishing near the black ship attraction. The surrounding scenery is great. There is a fish market nearby, and the hot springs inside the hotel include internal and external hot springs, which are very relaxing.

This hotel room sales agency is also very bad, very hateful and annoying: seeing that you have checked many times, they immediately raise the price, and then immediately lower the room price after you have booked. This will only make people hate it, make people distrust it, and also bring a bad impact on Ctrip.

All the bookings made by Ctrip were robbed of more than 400 yuan by Ctrip in less than a minute.

The hotel service is very good, the facilities are traditional but practical. The drinks and chocolate candies provided by the hotel are also delicious. The room faces the sea, and you can see the black ship anchored at the pier. It is very close to the fish market and has a good location. It is a recommended hotel.

Don't go to this hotel. Not only are the facilities old, but they are also dishonest. The manager is full of nonsense. The decoration of the hotel is from the last century, and the various equipment is outdated... The biggest problem is that there are not enough staff, and you have to make the bed yourself, and it is unhygienic, which is rare in Japan, especially the mites breed and spread. People with allergies should be careful. This is the worst value for money hotel I have stayed in so far.

I wouldn't book the hotel again... As soon as you enter the room you are hit by a bad smell that cannot be removed even with several air fresheners. A bottle of drinking water is also standard for a hotel in this price range, but unfortunately this was not available. The hotel is a bit old and is in urgent need of renovation!

The hotel is very nice, the rooms are large and comfortable, facing the sea, and there are large baths and outdoor hot springs to soak in. There are delicious free drinks on the first floor, and the front desk service is very attentive. Although it is close to the road, it is not very noisy. There is a bus at the door, and you can walk across the road to the famous Jinmuting Canteen.
However, Ctrip’s description of hotel facilities is problematic. There is no free pick-up from the hotel. You have to walk from the train station or take a bus.
