If you want to experience a Japanese-style family hotel, this is a very good choice! The hotel is located between Shimoda City and Kawazu Town, very close to the sea. My wife and I booked half board, and we were very satisfied with the food at the hotel! We stayed for three nights and the seafood variety was different every day and was very fresh and healthy. The owner and his wife are very hospitable. They print out the bus timetable for us every day, call us a taxi, and chat with us. They hope we have a good time. If I have to say something that needs improvement, if the WI-FI is better, it would be perfect! A very recommended Japanese hotel!

The hotel is located in a secluded area and it takes more than four hours to drive from Narita Airport, but once you enter, you will feel that it is well worth it. The environment is elegant and comfortable, the room is clean and spacious, and the private bath is great! Dinner and breakfast the next day were both served in the hotel restaurant. The ingredients were fresh and abundant, especially the famous local golden eye sea bream dishes.

Branica_Quite affordable considering its proximity to the beach. The place gives a homey vibe. It’s clean and quiet. It’s run by Aoki-san and Keiko-san, a really nice couple. Those traveling by public transport shouldn’t be worried about access as long as you check the bus schedule of the day. We got lucky going back to Shimoda station since Aoki-san was also headed there and gave us a ride. Definitely going back! ありがとうございました Aoki-san. 🥰

The owners are very warm and friendly, and you can really feel their sincerity. The room has a great view, complete facilities, and everything is spotless. Received a beautiful postcard and look forward to coming here again in the summer.

Very nice hotel; we had a great room with a sea view and lots of windows. Breakfast was good, but we would have liked to have the Japanese breakfast, which wasn't available. We couldn't eat dinner without a reservation.

Nice ryokan in a quiet location. The onsen facilities were nice, and the atmosphere of the place was peaceful and traditional. There is a convenience store a short walk away, and it's just a short bus ride to Shimoda for restaurants etc. The bus stop is also only a short walk away.
