Not worth the experience. If you are coming as a couple, u will be dining facing a window and curtain not your partner, they have very limited dining space. The private onsen rooms are without shower facility, the onsen water smell or taste like chlorine. Check in procedure is normal hotel procedure, not a regular onsen check in(those of you who have been know what I am talking about). Food is regular hotel quality.

The rooms are standard Japanese style, and the hotel has a great ambiance. The public bath is also very relaxing. Drinks, ice cream, and desserts are all complimentary within the inn. The included breakfast and dinner were both refined and delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied. The shuttle bus can pick you up from Shirakawa-go bus terminal, but pickups are only available after 2 PM, and drop-offs are only in the mornings with fixed schedules. This is something to keep in mind.

It was a lovely stay at Onyado. The service staff were very friendly and the place was relaxing and clean. Food provided for half board was delicious and there was even ramen provided for supper. Private onsen available for those opting privacy but if not the public onsen onsite was great as well.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. You can rent the yakutas free of charge, and play in both the public and private onsens when you have toured the Shirakawago village. The dinner and breakfasts provided is ok.

Amazing experience here. They have yukata for free rental so you can wear it in the hotel and when you go for your meals at dinner and breakfast. Full Japanese meal experience with multiple courses. They have a onsen for men and for women, but they also have 2 private ones for those who prefer to have more privacy and perfect for couples.

It was a lovely place and we especially enjoyed the onsen with the marvelous view. We made reservations for breakfast and dinner, the review on these traditional dishes were excellent and exquisite. 😋😋
