Sigiriya Village

We enjoyed the location very much but with regards to service and food and cleanliness it was bad for a 5 star hotel. Simply it’s not as we expected.

Near the Lion Rock, can see it from the swimming pool area. Nice cottage style hotel with big trees in the surrounding. Very nice, and very quiet. Breakfast need some improvement

First of all, service from Bagdea, Jaathu, Kishaulya and the young restaurant girl (forgot her name, my bad) made my stay warm and quite pleasant. They were all quite helpful. When I was late arriving at the hotel and the sky was dark, Kishaulya texted to enquire. That felt reassuring. I didn't really enjoy the breakfast buffet but at dinner, I had a good a la carte meal. Sigiriya is a little town rather self contained. Apart from the pool, there isn't much entertainment at the hotel although they had a cultural performance and a pop singer on the 2 nights I was there. You have to appreciate the ecological side of the Sigiriya area. So if you are looking for energetic activities, then it's not for you. Unless you count climbing the Lion Rock! My room was nice and spacious although I would have preferred a double bed instead of 2 singles. On my 2nd day, I went out of the hotel to have lunched and hung the sign for my room to be made up. Upon my return, I was pleasantly surprised someone noticed and did it in the short time I was away. So I found that I was well taken care of there

We really enjoyed everything about this place. It is so relaxing.

It was our best decision to stay in this hotel one of the best of our two weeks trip around Sri Lanka. The nature around the swimming pool view is insane. Nice houses and the most surprising perfect dinner buffet just for 15$. Breakfast was good as well. Spa is good too but they not inform the oil is quite aggressive paint so it made my white skirt and shirt yellow (still can’t wash)

We had a lovely stay. The pool was great, the views were beautiful, and all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our visit. We were especially grateful that they went above and beyond by posting our lost Kindle to our next hotel, which we really appreciated. Excellent service and a hotel we’d happily recommend.

We feel annoying because someone wrip the floor at 0630 with a lot of noise. Extra bill when check out. A bill for dinner buffet which we did not attend. Your staff did not listen to us and insist we eat the buffet and they said CCTV can see us there. At the end, we wait for half hour and the did not show the CCTV and let us go. When we settle the bill for 2 dinners we have, the wifi connection is not good and your staff say they did not receive the pament and ask us the pay cash. At the end, we find the bill already settle by credit card. And we need to go back to the hotel and they still say hotel did not recieve the payment and ask us to check with our bank.
