"We went for a family meal for my 70th birthday. Food was so bad. Soup was more like a solid puree. Chicken goujons were full of grease. Macaroni cheese was like water chicken burger was dry it was a chicken schnitzel places in a 4 inch bun. Cumberland sausage was so over cooked it was hard. I could go on as there wasn’t anything that we could say was exceptional at all. The guy who served us was very nice and did do his best. One of the waitresses pulled a face a me! No customer service skills. It would be a good place to go to loose weight, I only ate 2 pieces of bread and a bit of lettuce. Happy Birthday to me! The one thing was good was we had a private room which worked out well"

"From the outside (scaffolding etc) we wondered what it would be like but we were pleasantly surprised.  We had booked a standard room which was clean and tidy with all the bits we needed, kettle, tea/coffee, hairdryer.  The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.  Breakfast could be cereal with milk or yogurt, cooked breakfast, toast or croissant, big choice and all fresh and freshly cooked.  We had the cooked breakfast - WOW - lasted us all day.  The little town of Annan, all I can say is, if you don’t visit it, you will miss out on a treat. PS the scaffolding is for all the renovations which will improve the property.  We would love to return one day."

"Workington Travelodge is quite new so the bedroom are in an excellent state. The hotel was very quiet; It is well situated to explore some part of Lake district. The only negative was the size of the room and the bathroom, with a shower, which was quite small even for a couple; that is the smaller room I have been in -in Travelodge."

"Ideal location if you’re playing golf at Silloth. Reasonable rates, decent evening meal choice & top breakfast. Would recommend, new owners are renovating so please be tolerant of this. Staff are very friendly . Particularly lady behind bar. Excellent value for money, plenty of parking, Wi-Fi, etc Will use again when on my annual golfing pilgrimage to Silloth."

"We had a 2 night break our room was a Queen bed double room and dog friendly as is the hotel.the room was exceptionally clean and warm the bed was extremely comfortable the wardrobes and units gave ample storage and the shower was hot and comfortable to use .there are also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We ate at the restaurant both nights and breakfast was included also.The quality of all the food was excellent and all staff were very friendly and efficient ,Really enjoyed our stay and would hope to go back in the future"
