Wyndham Garden Los Mochis Plaza Inn

The ladies at the reception desk were awesome. They made us feel very welcomed. Our room was nice and clean and smelled of fresh paint. There was an enclosed parking area for our car. The housekeeping ladies were kind and very accommodating. The entire staff was a pleasure and helped us with our broken Spanish. The problems were that there was no microwave, no ice machine, no coffee maker, no fridge, the pool was a bit murky, there was no hot water in the shower, and the machines in the gym didn't work very well. Oh, the food was very good.

We stayed there for one week to visit with family. It's centrally located in the city and has good secure parking in an inside courtyard. The room has two beds a large, modern TV and a small desk. No fridge or cofee machine. Here are the problems I found with the place, such that I would not like to return there. In general the hotel has seen better times and is in need of much maintenance and repair. The AC was very noisy and difficult to control, blowing cold air over the beds. There was no door sign we could hang to tell the staff not to clean our room. The pool water was absolutely filthy with a visibility of less than 10 feet. In the gym EVERY machine was out of order. All the strength machines had torn cords and the treadmill main belt was torn. The exercise bike would not turn on. Only one restaurant was open and was so so with few customers. One saving grace was that the staff were helpful when approached and a request was made. There is a nearby hotel, the El Dorade, where we ate and it looked in much better state.
