Initially, when we checked in, the staff were welcoming and room was decent (clean and spacious). Hotel location was great with many delicious food and coffee options nearby. Further, when we realized we forgot to bring our phone charger, the staff on duty graciously lent us theirs for the night.
However, things took a turn when we were about to turn in for the night. As we turned off all the lights, one remained flickering. Upon our feedback to the staff on duty, they offered us a change in room but it was a downgrade. Further, the room was dusty, there was no duvet (had to bring ours up from the previous room) and there were a lot of flies in the bathroom. Accentuating this, our room happened to be right outside the housekeeping room and all throughout the morning (7-11am), there were incessant loud voices from the corridor outside - it was evident that the housekeeping team were talking amidst preparation. As the room was not sound-proofed, this really disrupted our rest. Nonetheless, at least the consolation was that hotel management was receptive to our feedback and apologetic.
