Hotel 81 Changi

The hotel is quite close to the subway, which was convenient for our layover before flying back home. It was easy to get to the hotel from the airport by subway, and also easy to visit the Merlion from the hotel. There are good and convenient food options along the way from the subway station to the hotel. The price was around 5xx. Considering this is Singapore and when we booked, I'd suggest booking in advance. In my opinion, this would be a budget hotel (under 100) in China. The cleanliness wasn't as bad as I'd imagined. The room itself was small, just enough space for a bed and a bathroom. There was a strong smell of disinfectant. Also, be sure to double-check that you've locked your door when entering and exiting, as I heard someone possibly try to open my door by mistake in the middle of the night. The air conditioning seemed to be non-adjustable and was very cold at 22℃. The hot water for showering worked fine. Some disposable amenities were not provided, such as drinking water and slippers. You can use Chinese standard plugs for charging. After exiting the subway, just cross the street at the traffic light and walk along the bridge.

The room isn't huge, but the price was pretty good compared to other hotels – definitely on the cheaper side. The central AC couldn't be adjusted, so it might get a bit warm for some. It's not far from the subway, and the value for money is really high, plus there are lots of places to eat nearby.

Had a fantastic stay! Overall, I was really happy with my experience. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, the room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were complete and didn't have any strange odors. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, and check-in and check-out were handled very efficiently. Their service was thoughtful and attentive. The environment was quiet and peaceful, not noisy at all, and it offered great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

The hotel doesn't provide slippers or combs, but they do clean the room daily. The hallway has a strong disinfectant smell, and the room windows are fixed shut. For this price in Singapore, it's acceptable.

Finding a relatively affordable hotel in Singapore is tough, so this place was okay for a one-night layover before a flight. It's pretty standard, like a 2-star hotel back home. It's conveniently located for the airport, about a 30-minute metro ride away.
