V Hotel Lavender

At over a thousand dollars a night, Singapore hotels are indeed expensive. The room was small but clean enough, and we weren't charged for early check-in. The hotel is visible right from the Lavender MRT station exit, making it super convenient for getting around.

Don't expect much from the facilities; it's really just a place to sleep. Although there's a pool and a small gym, we arrived late every night after touring Singapore, so we didn't get to use them. However, the public transport is excellent! Plus, there are places to grab snacks and a supermarket right downstairs, which is great for shopping.

As a Ctrip Diamond member who travels frequently and has stayed in countless hotels, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I'm writing this genuine review to warn potential bookers. I chose this hotel because it had tens of thousands of saves on the platform. I figured with so many people saving it, there must be something good about it, which convinced me to book. I have to admit, the hotel's location is excellent. However, there's a huge influx of guests, and the common areas were generally noisy and messy. I was already prepared for the small room size, common in Singapore city center hotels, as I only intended to sleep there briefly and didn't have high expectations for the amenities. But a small room doesn't excuse it from being old and dirty. The basic hygiene standards weren't met, significantly diminishing the overall experience. The bathroom had a noticeable odor, and the toilet seat was loose and wobbly. During my two-night stay, I only dared to take quick showers and absolutely avoided washing my hair. The desk had an old, mini plastic water dispenser, similar in size to a capsule coffee machine. It was visibly stained, and I even saw bugs crawling on it, so I dared not use it. I had to buy bottled water throughout my stay. At 3 AM, the room's landline suddenly rang insistently. When I picked it up, there was no sound. Being abruptly woken up led to a sleepless night, severely disrupting my rest. The hallway was quite narrow, and there were frequent loud bangs from suitcases hitting room doors. One particular impact was exceptionally jarring. When I opened the door to check, I found it was caused by a hotel service cart. What was most frustrating was on the day of check-out, all the elevators in the building broke down. We had a ferry to catch and no other option but to carry two oversized suitcases down 11 flights of stairs. At the front desk for check-out, not a single staff member offered an apology. The service attitude was truly disappointing. Before my trip, I had read some negative reviews but dismissed them, thinking guests were overly picky and that it would be fine for just an overnight stay. Only after checking in did I realize that the negative reviews were by no means exaggerated. Even my family, who are usually very tolerant of accommodations, couldn't help but complain about the terrible experience. Afterward, I stayed at the Dorsett Hotel near the airport, and the difference in experience was night and day. I honestly advise everyone to choose carefully and avoid this place if possible.

Excellent! Very convenient for all travel, and there are tons of food options. The reception staff were also great.
