Weave Living Hotels in Singapore

The hotel reception has staff who speak Chinese, so communication in Mandarin was possible. Many hotels in Singapore are advertised as renovated, but after extensive online research, I found this one had good reviews, aside from poor soundproofing. The facilities were clean and hygienic, there were no carpets, and no damp or moldy environment, which was very satisfying upon arrival. A family of three sleeping on one main bed would be too small, so I chose a suite with a sofa bed (which was actually a normal bed). I wrote on the Ctrip booking page that we would need the sofa bed prepared. The room's soundproofing wasn't great, but it didn't affect our sleep. Our room wasn't on the side facing the renovations, so it wasn't very noisy, and work stopped at night. I didn't realize the hotel water heater had a switch. The reception wasn't staffed at night, and I forgot to ask during the day, so I ended up taking cold showers for three days. I don't like daily cleaning services, so it suited me perfectly that the hotel didn't clean every day. They provided free water refills during my stay. The hotel's location is convenient for transport, with a 7-Eleven and breakfast places nearby. It's just a few minutes' walk to the National Museum, and then through the museum's back entrance straight to Canning Park. Exiting the park, you'll find the Old Hill Street Police Station and a shopping mall. Another ten-to-fifteen-minute walk takes you to the National Gallery and then to Merlion Park. It's great for a city walk, but it's quite a trek!

This place is perfect for a solo female traveler. There's plenty of storage space, which is great for business trips to keep your belongings organized. It offers good value for money. The location isn't ideal for subway access, as it's quite a walk, and there are no direct bus routes to the subway station, which is a shame. While the room condition is good, there's a persistent sewer-like smell, whether it's from the air conditioner or the bathroom, especially when the windows are closed and the AC is on. Also, I sent multiple email inquiries before check-in, but never received a response. That was the most inconvenient part.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location is convenient, within walking distance to MRT and bus stop but at the same time keeping the tranquility away from noisy main roads. Very helpful, polite and friendly staff. Extremely efficient. Apartment is cleaned once every 3 days, which we find adequate and a good balance. This is a place especially suitable for families, with spacious apartment size (as compared to hotel) and a swimming pool that’s not busy. We chose family apartment with washing machine, 2 rooms, 2 washrooms, which is exactly what our family needs. We are already talking about our next visit and will stay here again.
