The Atrium Beach Resort and Spa, Ascend Hotel Collection

Had a great time at The Atrium. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the hotel is rather centrally located. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is getting old, and has only been mildly refreshed. It's telling that their wifi password is from 2016! But overall the facility isn't bad. Just OK. What really brings the rating down is the staff. They give off a strong vibe of not wanting to be there. Or maybe not wanting to interact with/help guests. A simple request or question is met with a very sharp answer. Both the tone and the content make clear you are a bother to them vs. a valued guest. Next time I'll stay at a different property that is happy to have me there.

The folks there were fantastic. The front desk attendants were pleasant and professional in their interaction with the hotel guests. I highly recommend this place.

The team at the front desk was generally friendly and professional, especially Dawn who was amazing. However, all it takes is for one bad apple to ruin an entire experience. The young lady who we first met at the desk needs customer service training 101. She was rude beyond measure, defensive for no cause, and absolutely atrocious.

The good before the not so good. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa 2 full bathrooms. Master bedroom with private patio. Receptionist was very energetic and explanitory. The high floors are the best for the view. Very spacious very comfortable bedding. There is a nice spa and a barber /groomer right there. Room wasnt 100% cleaned. Upon irival we instantly saw debris and a plastic floss on the ground. They dont service the room whilst checked in but they do replenish the towels as they dont leave extra in the closets. No room service as they are probably not connected to any of the restaurants nearby and they dont have one of their own. All in all i would say its a good place to be if you are going to walk about or just want to stay in and cook. The bars and beach and restaurants are a stone throw away. Watersports there are really fun as well.

For a property that advertises they do early check-ins, we did not receive that in the slightest even after calling ahead and asking for an early check in. When we arrived, we were told our room wasn’t ready and to come back at 2 pm, then 2:30 pm, then 3 pm & then they said 3:30. We went back around 3:45 and then we heard the “10 more minutes- oh, just 5 more minutes” although this was very annoying, it wasn’t enough to prompt me to leave this review, it was everything else we encountered. ALL front desk staff are rude!! They’re never helpful, barely greet you, & give the snarkiest comments. For the 5 nights we stayed here, we did not receive housekeeping services at all. However we did request lean towels and received them. On our second morning, there was a notice by our door that the exterminator will be servicing each room starting at 9:30 AM, this was a little annoying as we were stepping out that day and had to hurry to put all of our personal items away. Also, The room fire alarm would go off randomly!!! We do not smoke so that was bothersome. Now, when it was time to check out, we asked for a later check out - we only needed an hour or two and to be honest, we would’ve took whatever they gave us. The lady at the front was just like nope not on Saturdays without any further consideration. I felt like for all they put us through during check in, it would’ve been a nice gesture to let us check out by 11 AM but again, just not helpful at all!
