The bed is super small, and the blanket is a stack of hard blankets that are very uncomfortable. The small house is packed with 10 customers each night.

Very lovely accomodation, with breakfast included. Feels like home. Great location - close to Sintra train station, and within walking distance from all the main attractions. Great if you want a peaceful and quiet getaway.

The Five House is a hostel that is conveniently located to all the attractions. It is a good spot to crash after a long day of adventure. I would note that if you're not used to low ceilings, then I highly recommend to book a room on the first floor.

The Five House was my first hostel experience, and this is probably the best one I could have had. The breakfast has lots of variety, and the coffee with their milk was super good. I also enjoyed the beautiful views outside the property & the amazing atmosphere. The host can give you lots of tips and can help you explore Sintra in the best way possible. Highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Sintra. 😁

The Five house is the perfect place to spend a couple of days in Sintra. We loved the house, the position is great and the atmosphere is quite homey. Filipe and Vera were very kind and let us leave our luggages for a few hours after checkout, so we could explore the city even more.

I’m so grateful I found this hostel before I started walking my Camino to Santiago. I needed a more quiet place than Lisbon to rest and rejuvenate. The Five House was perfect, the hosts have created a homey and beautifully decorated space to relax and explore Sintra. Also they offer the best hostel breakfast I have had yet! Definitely recommend!

Very cozy house, very clean. The breakfast is excellent and provides a nice opportunity to talk with other travellers. The hosts are very friendly and have great advise to offer on the area. I took a hike along the coast on their recommendation and it was spectacular.

It was an absolutely lovely stay at the Five House which is runned by the two very attentive owners: Filipe and Vera. The guesthouse feels like a home, it is small, cozy and beautifully decorated with their own pieces of art. The bathrooms were spotless clean and everything is provided. Breakfast comes included with fresh products. The location is as well perfect as it only takes a 5-10 min. walk into the beautiful center of Sintra. Filipe was so kind to carry my suitcases up and down the stairs upon my arrival and departure. They know what a great guest service is, and The Five house will continue to be my stay of choose for my next travels to Sintra. Just keep in mind to bring earplugs as you may share the bedroom with someone who snores, but this is relevant for any place you stay and doesn't take away how great the Five House is.
