1743 Loft

The whole unit is in dire need of deep cleaning: Dirty floors, worn filthy furniture (armchair, sofa etc), dirty kitchen & utensils, disgusting shower-stall. Yucky freezer needs to be defrosted. Extremely loud music outside (measured at 80+ dB); music band played twice during our stay until midnight, could not stay inside, the ground-floor unit serves like the perfect amplifier. Heading for the loft-side bed we had to carefully bow through a stone arch to not bump our heads. We did not always succeed 🙁. Dangerous climb up to the loft (unsafe stairs). Hard-to-hold-on wiry railing with sharp edges (cut my palm during the first climb). Ground floor AC was cleaned by owner but remained intermittently noisy (had to be switched off at night) throughout our stay.

Very good location of the apartment - close to the sea, in a historic town, with narrow streets, cafés, and restaurants. The place was clean, comfortable. There was everything what we needed. The host was very friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend.

Good value in heart of Ortigia Ignazio the host was very helpful and communicative. Resolved an electric issue and questions we had during our stay without delay. Room (the ‘Studio’) was spacious and had a full kitchenette.l, main bed comfortable, and our toddler was happy on the sofa bed. Set on a quiet, private and secure courtyard area. Hot water hit and miss, curtains not proper blackout, and all needs a lick of paint, showing some signs of wear everywhere, but undoubtedly excellent value, given the rates generally in Ortigia.

Architect designed space beautifully integrating old and new.

Location was great but noisy.

Nice Stay Only challenge was parking. Very expensive.
