This is a heritage hotel, do don’t expect all the frills of a modern luxury hotel, for example there was no fridge or tv in the room. However, for the heritage experience there is nowhere better to stay. Spacious room and bathroom and everything was clean. A little worried than an electric point was actually in the shower - but I guess that’s India for you. Breakfast was good and they would make toast for you if you wanted it. Coffee was good also. Lunch and dinner were also good, but you had to pre-order, The staff without exception were friendly, polite and helpful. Overall I felt it was a privilege to stay in such a historic building. I did venture to the swimming pool a few blocks down the road, but the water looked green so I just sunbathed.
