Travelodge Skipton
"Good Travelodge value, and the usual nice staff welcome. This hotel is located on the edge of Skipton, perfect for us with a canal based event. Parking was good, and free. Hotel room was older style Travelodge, but very clean, plenty of space, had all the usual room extras, such as tea, coffee, milk, etc. Bathroom very clean, shower over bath, and hurrah, this bath had an over bath rail to keep you safe. Bed was comfy, plenty of spare pillows. Windows opened for fresh air as well. This was a bit of a mixed blessing as our room overlooked Skipton bypass, and it was busy. Noise didn’t bother us, but it might some, so choose your room is my advice. Compared with lots of other Travelodge, this one hasn’t been upgraded yet, so lacks the extras you tend to expect, such as USB points and a bedside socket. Our room only had three sockets, and one was for TV, one for kettle, so we were shuffling charging phones, etc…. A minor point, but really does need more. But this is a nice place, has a Greggs and lovely Farm Shop adjacent, for food, is close to Skipton town centre, and the Events at the Auction area. We would definitely return again. Very welcoming and informative member of staff on reception. Only a refurb is needed to give this 5 stars."
Katie's Cottage
The Plough
"The Plough Inn was a delightful place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the room was spotless! I had the best nights sleep ever because it’s so nice and quiet. The food was absolutely delicious also, both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. Parking is free and plentiful. Would love to visit it again. A lovely, cosy Yorkshire dales vibe."
Highfield Guesthouse
"We were greeted with a very warm welcome from Debbie , room was very clean , bedding was fresh and clean we had 2 very comfortable nights sleep and was a short walk into the town ."
Black Horse Hotel
"Reservations required, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays when they have a reduced staff. Food was very good, with a surprisingly wide menu selection. My wife had fish and chips but I ventured into a salmon and prawn linguine which was very good. Good drink and wine selection- not just beers. Would recommend."

YHA Malham
"Outstanding hostel Clean Safe Good breakfast Godd welcome"
The Lister Arms
Grassington Lodge
"The room was on the third floor, which might be a bit inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage. It wasn't huge but was clean and tidy. The Wi-Fi signal wasn't great; videos would buffer a few times, but sending and receiving emails was fine. It's very close to the town's scenic spots. Of course, the town is quite small, so it seems unnecessary to stay more than one night."
