As this guest house has been recommended by some friends our expectations were quite high. Furthermore we had just spent some days in a great ostrich farm which did not have any ostriches any more but still very beautiful buildings. The bungalows in Skeiding are spacious but could do with some renovation.Still, they are okay. For dinner we got ostrich and steak, prepared on an indoor grill. That was fine. Se did not really get to meet the owners - the man just came to the dining room to open a bottle of champagne in the spectacular way with a sword for a friend, the wife was setting in front of the reception without saying a word. So, after all, nothing wrong with the stay, but we won't go there again.

What an amazing place! Such beautiful decor, comfortable big room, beautiful nature around! The food was just out of this world! Dinner and breakfast were unbelievably delicious! Best we had in South Africa and best breakfast we’ve ever had, everything is hand made! We would love to come back and recommend to everyone to make a relaxing stop at the magical place.

Would like to thank Skeiding owners and their staff for offering us a very pleasant stay. Rooms and services are superb. They also shared a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday. We also took the farm tour in the morning which made the experience more unique.

The view was amazing. Sone our guide, was knowledgeable and welcoming, making sure that everyone was well taken care of ( as well as being an excellent chef!). The owner was passionate and gave us great insights into life on the farm. Our morning tour of the farm with Sone and two staff members was fun! We fed the ostriches, and saw zebra, emus, springbok, sheep, pigs, chickens, cows and so much more, followed by a delicious farm breakfast. Thanks to all!

Beautiful farm with breathtaking scenery. Warm hospitality and the best of South African food. The rooms are well appointed- everything thing has been thought of with much attention, care and love. Neels and Anne-Lize are so accommodating and welcoming-a true South African experience. Don’t miss the evening meal - a real gourmet experience with beautiful presentation, complemented with great local wines.

lovely place, very tranquil away from the business of towns and cities. landscape is beautiful with ostriches on the farm. the concept is quite nice. Easy check in way of working, and special dinner experience with the family. breakfast is also delicious and overall friendly staff and service. Value for money!

We can not share the enthusiasm 100%, although it was nice. The staff was accommodating and the breakfast and dinner were fantastic. However, we found the price for dinner quite expensive. The farm tour was also expensive and the cost was only seen on the final bill. The cottages were very nicely located and have a great view but are quite used and not particularly clean. All in all a nice stop, but we would not have missed anything if we had left it out.

We loved our one night stay at the Guest Farm and wished we could have stayed for longer! We booked dinner before arriving and the food was SO good. We did the farm tour in the morning which was so much fun and then breakfast was delicious - so many cheeses. The hosts were wonderful and we loved our cottage. Our room had a book with so many nearby activities - we'll just have to come back sometime to try them! It was a bit chilly and we would have loved to get the fire places going if we had more time there. Seems like a really great place to relax.
