Fabulous hotel in the heart for Ljubljana! 5 minute walk to the river and all the gorgeous shops and restaurants! 15 minute walk to the bus station where you can get the lake bled and the airport and city bus stop right outside the hotel too! All the reception, bar and restaurant staff were all lovely and very helpful! Room spotlessly clean every day and the food in the hotel restaurant was lovely too! Didn’t have breakfast as got a pastry out and about instead! Late check out available when we asked! Would stay again and recommend!

I recently stayed at this B&B hotel and had a pleasant experience. The location is definitely a highlight—it's in a prime spot, within walking distance to the city center, making it super convenient to explore the area. The room was decent, offering all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Nothing too fancy, but everything was clean and functional. Overall, it's a great choice if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with easy access to the city's main attractions.

Fantastic hotel. I don't often stay in 5 stars, however in comparison to the ones I have been in, this one wins as the best I've stayed in. Staff were amazing and such welcoming people. The breakfast is the best I've had when using hotels. Such a great selection and met my dietary requirements of my need to over eat😜. The room was a good size, with an immaculate bathroom. The bar was reasonable priced and great to have a sky view.

Very satisfied. It is in the city center. Turn left and walk down to the Sanqiao Bridge. There are various supermarkets and businesses next to it. A little further ahead is the castle. It is not too far to the station. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. When you take your children to the bed, there will be a cute little elephant, 15 euros each.

I recently stayed at Ibis Styles Ljubljana Centre and overall had a very good experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-designed, offering great comfort. The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to the city centre, with easy access to attractions, restaurants, and shops. I also felt very safe, as the hotel is located directly opposite a police station. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The pillows were not very comfortable and should be replaced for better sleep quality. The toilet area had a noticeable smell, likely due to a lack of deep cleaning, and would benefit from detergent-based cleaning. Another inconvenience is the step at the reception, which makes it difficult to move luggage—especially when arriving or checking out. Having to lift heavy suitcases up and down the step is not ideal. Despite these issues, the hotel still offers great value and comfort.

The City Hotel boasts a prime location in Ljubljana, conveniently close to various public transport options. The staff provided excellent service and were very helpful. With a wide variety of breakfast choices, the cakes stood out as some of the best. Overall, the experience was very pleasant.

The hotel is in an exceptional location, in the centre, the structure is well maintained and the room conditions were excellent, clean and with a very modern furnishings. Two notes to improve are a little distraction and not always professional staff and the pool that was very cold and the spa would generally be reviewed and improved. The spa was through the hotel next to the ninth floor in a small space is only on booking.

Very nice hotel with perfect good location. The room is clean and tidy . Air conditioner works so well ( it is quite important during summer time) The gym is so good but the equipment is a bit old. Staffs are helpful. Breakfast is good with many choices. Only one drawback is the bell sounds at night , rings every 30 mins . Except this, hotel is prefect .

Nelle informazioni online veniva descritto come un hotel 4 stelle ma di fatto non è all’altezza di quella categoria. Viene detto che e’ disponibile un parcheggio ma l’hotel ha a disposizione solo due posti auto in strada in una zona pedonale a 35 euro a notte. Nel nostro caso, siamo rimasti due notti e tra le due giornate non sono state fatte le normali pulizie con sistemazione del letto. La camera pur essendo una suite, così era scritto sulla porta era mal disposta con la zona letto veramente piccola e difficile muoversi . Molto vecchia e con alcuni particolari da sistemare, vedi tubo doccia. La colazione non è da hotel 4 stelle con veramente scarsa varietà di ogni cosa. C’erano 4 marmellate d un solo tipo. All’arrivo abbiamo chiesto se avessero qualcosa gluten free e ci hanno detto che dovevamo avvisarli prima . In ogni caso nemmeno il secondo giorno avevano preparato qualcosa senza gluten free. Unica nota positiva la posizione eccellente se pur in zona ristretta. Anche la ragazza della reception era veramente gentile.

Great hotel - it’s a shame that the staff let it down. Prior to our arrival, we contacted the hotel to let them know that we would be arriving after check-in had closed (at 10pm). They were very helpful and provided us with instructions to enter the property by ourselves using an app. When we arrived, we managed to get into the lobby (using the app), but the room key we were given was different than the one we were told on the phone and email. As a result, we were unable to enter our assigned room. Assuming that our room number had been changed, we tried the key in the door that matched the new number (as there were no staff or guests around, and no one was answering the phone or emails). It opened and revealed a couple, asleep, inside. Obviously, we were mortified that we had disturbed the hotel guests, and also terrified that we would have to sleep in the hotel lobby until check-in opened at 6am. After about an hour of searching around the lobby for clues about who to contact, we knocked on some private doors. Thankfully, a man came out and used a master key to let us in. It was clear that we had woken him up (by this point it was 2am). Again, we were sorry to have done so, but were left with no choice. After we had successfully entered our room, I sent an email to the front desk letting them know what had just happened and that we would like them to apologise (on our behalf) to the guests and staff we woke up. They never replied. In fact, every time we mentioned it, the staff member made excuses like “I wasn’t there so I don’t have anything to do with it” and “the guy who organised the late check-in was training so he made a mistake”. There was absolutely nothing in the way of an apology or compensation for the mix-up until we checked out and it was already too late. We would like the hotel to know that mistakes are bound to happen, so it is imperative that they have a back-up (emergency number or night staff) for guests who have been given the wrong room key. In addition, since we had been travelling for a while, we were running out of clothes and needed to do a load of laundry. We followed the instructions for the housekeeping staff to collect our laundry but found that when we had returned to the hotel, the laundry had not been done and the room had not been made up. When we went downstairs to inform the staff of this, we were told “housekeeping doesn’t go back to rooms to clean them after you took off the do not disturb sign, I’ve worked in lots of hotels and this is always the policy”. This member of staff eventually helped us find an laundromat, but the contempt with which we were spoken to was unacceptable and uncaring of the fact that we, too, have plenty of experience in the hotel industry as customers. An apology would have sufficed. Overall, it was a great hotel in a fantastic location. Just make sure you’re okay with passive aggressive communication before you book.
