The last time I stayed here, it was quite good, but this time I was rather disappointed. I remembered really liking it before because the layout felt stable and cozy, the view was decent, and there was even a table. However, returning after a long time, I found there was no conditioner (which most hotels provide these days), plenty of red mold on the bathroom floor, and the refrigerator was a bit dirty. It's a real shame because the room layout is actually one of the best I've seen among the hotels I've stayed at. Parking facilities are also very limited, so you often have to park in nearby alleys or public parking lots and walk quite a distance. All in all, I managed to get through the one-night stay.

I normally try to avoid apartment hotels, but I liked this one. My room had an outstanding view of the ocean, and it's extremely convenient for public transport: it's very close to the Sokcho Express Bus Terminal and the bus to the park (#7) passes the front door of the hotel. You can also walk directly to the beach. There was a language barrier when I arrived (I don't speak Korean and the clerk didn't speak English), but I had no problems checking in. (Useful advice: if you plan on reaching Sokcho by bus and staying at this hotel, make sure you are going to the Sokcho Express Terminal. Buses from the Seoul Gyeongbu Terminal go there, but buses from Dong Seoul Terminal go to a completely different terminal in northern Sokcho.)

I was on the 15th floor when the elevator broke down, trapping me for 10 minutes. The emergency phone to the front desk was unresponsive. I was connected to a service center, but before any help could arrive, the elevator suddenly dropped to the 14th floor and the doors opened. As someone who already suffers from elevator phobia and claustrophobia, it was absolutely terrifying – and I'm a grown man! I definitely won't be returning. The bathroom also reeked of cigarette smoke.
