They asked you to pay for WiFi and they can’t allow you to put luggage there, terrible service!!!

The hotel was simple and clean. The room had a double and two singles as booked. The water was hot and there was plenty of it. The road was a bit noisy outside our window but no plane noise to keep us awake.
I was very disappointed that despite being an airport hotel there is no shuttle between the hotel and the departure terminal UNLESS you book car parking at car park 7 specifically.
Therefore I had to book a taxi to take me to departures at £15 one way for a 2 mile trip at 5am.
This left me a 10minute walk outside the terminal, though I could have paid drop off parking charges to get closer.
Apparently this is a new issue between the airport and Travelodge.
If I had known this at the time I would not have been so keen on the Travelodge price (which on its own was very reasonable) but needs to have a £20 supplement for travel to the airport added.

It is a very cosy and comfortable hotel but a bit far from the airport. It is not within walking distance unlike the two other hotels just outside the airport. I had to take a taxi which took about ten minutes to get there. The hotel itself is great with comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast was very nice and had a good selection. The room was bright and clean. The price was very good value. I needed to be near the airport but was disappointed that it wasn’t really walking distance. There was a free shuttle bus in front of the hotel but it was only meant for the people who parked in the parking lot which was opposite the hotel.

Rooms & food great
Location. Says on the hotel description a 5 minute walk to the airport. This is untrue. Its a 45 minute walk as you have to walk round the outside of the carpark. You can only use the free bus if you park in the carpark. Had to get a taxi which was a few minutes drive and cost £20:20. So misleading.

It would be extremely helpful if you were to give precise instructions on how non car drivers can access your hotel from the airport terminal without walking. We eventually found the X1 service bus.

Stayed for 1 night prior to early flight. It was further from the airport than I thought it was. The bed was comfortable and bedding spotless The hubby liked the fact he could see the aircraft take off and land from the room so wasn’t disappointed that it was further than anticipated. The bathroom was adequate but I’m not sure about having a shower curtain instead of a screen but it did look clean. The meals we had were nice and a couple of drinks in bar. Hospitally tray was adequate too. You need to ask reception for hairdryers but not an issue. Overall it’s great value for money and we would stay again. All the staff we came into contact were friendly and professional at all times
