Hotel AlpenSchlössl ★★★★
"Just on our last night at this lovely hotel. We stayed over new year as a family of four. We chose one of the "Family" rooms which was great for 2 adults and two teenage girls. There is a separate bedroom with two single beds, in the main room area is a large double bed with separate sofa/table/sitting area, there is a separate toilet and alsod a separate bathroom with a heated floor. The breakfast has a large selection of self service items to suit all tastes, including some lactose free options. Evening meals are amazing, great salad buffet, two entrées, a choice of 3 or 4 main meals plus a choice of desserts. They will even provide off menu items for children such as schnitzel n chips if the kids don't fancy what is on offer. The staff are very professional and attentive. Our main waiter on this occasion was David who went above and beyond checking allergy information formour youngest daughter. There is plenty of parking, during the winter there are 5 or 6 ski buses in the morning and same again in the afternoon, these start/finish at the AlpenSchlössl so you will always get a good seat on the bus in the morning even in peak season busy times. The bar and reception staff who are also very professional and helpful throughout the day. We'll be back again!!"
Landhaus Ager ★★★
"We spend some lovely days at Landhaus Ager and enjoyed the area, the views and the beauty of the location. It is a perfect place to relax, either at the wellness areas, garden, terraces or private balcony. Breakfast and dinner were really good and above all the kind attention of the staff."
Der Postwirt ★★★★
"Absolutely fantastic Hotel, the hotel staff are all excellent and polite and helpful. Food excellent and the hotel facilities amazing especially the infinity pool. Me and my son decided to take a short skiing holiday together from Friday to Wednesday, short transfers from Salzburg and Innsbruck and we was on the slopes Friday afternoon. Book this hotel, you won’t be disappointed!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
Beim Hochfilzer Superior 4 Sterne ★★★★
"Fantastic restaurant with meals that look like pieces of art and taste delicious. Very friendly and welcoming service in wonderful surroundings in the mountains. Lovely idyllic view on the terrace. Absolutely a recommendation when visiting the Wildenkaiser area."
Hotel Alpenpanorama ★★★★
"Our triple room was very comfortable, with a modern walk-in shower. The only minor annoyance is the glass bathroom door. The bedroom was always warm, but an opening window and balcony allowed access to fresh air and views towards the ski slopes. The food was of excellent quality, with salad bar, starter, soup, choice of 3 mains, a desert or cheese for dinner. Drinks are additional cost, but the staff were lovely and remembered our preferences throughout the week. The breakfast buffet was excellent too, with choice of pastries, cereals, yoghurts, cold meat and cheeses as well as cooked eggs, bacon and sausage. The fresh bread and pastries were particularly tasty. The hotel also offers afternoon tea with a delicious range of homemade cakes and strudel at reasonable prices. One night we had a gala dinner with multiple courses, and one night there was no food, and we went out locally for pizza. The free ground floor boot room was really handy, with a private locker and boot warmers. We made use of the spa, which had showers, steam room, sauna and water beds as well as loungers. Note the sauna is naked. Most restaurants and shops are cash only. The free ski bus stop is just outside of the hotel, which was extremely convenient. Skis can be kept at the hire shop for extra charge. The lifts and ski area were fantastic. We were only restricted by the huge snowfall in going further afield. The town is a 10 minute walk downhill. Not many shops or bars, but one large Spar on the edge of town for any provisions. Skiwear in local shops is very expensive. Not a resort for shopping or nightlife, but that suited us as a family."
Alpengasthof Hochsöll ★★★
"Just returned from a fabulours stay at the Alpengasthof. The hotel is situated immediately on the slopes a short drive up the mountain, perfect location for ski to and from hotel. The hotel is full of charm and exceeds all expectations of a mountain hotel. The bedroom was warm with comfortable beds and a balcony overlooking the slopes. The shower was amazing, one of the best. A bonus being able to park at the hotel. The holiday included breakfast and evening meal, both of which were lovely, breakfast included hot options, fresh bread, yogurts, cold meats, cereals and fruit, the evening meal was a four course meal with choice of main course, each dish was tasty. The staff were very friendly and made us very welcome. We enjoyed skiing the Ski Welt, the slopes were well maintained and plenty of long challenging runs. We loved our stay and will be returning."
Bed & Breakfast Landhaus Strasser ★★★
Hotel Berghof ★★★★
"Arriving at the hotel, we were told that the room was not ready yet. We could go and eat something and then come back. When we returned, it became clear that there was no room available for us. And whether we could go to the village for a night (we didn't have to pay anything extra for that, they said) and come back the next day for the most beautiful room they have (Which was unbelievable, considering the fact that 6 families had already been sent to another hotel). The boss/manager didn't look at us anymore. Let an employee solve "the problem" but that he himself was outside partying with the other guests. We were treated in a cold and unfriendly way, it was pretended that it was great that they had arranged another hotel in the village and that we didn't have to pay extra for that. No further compensation. All in all a real disgrace!"
Hotel Feldwebel ★★★★
"Stayed here for a week in January with Crystal Ski. Had one of the superior rooms on the top floor - loads of storage, lovely and warm, heated floor in bathroom and balcony overlooking the main square. Only niggle was the hairdryer - one setting which was very hot. Breakfast was great, 5 course evening meal consisting of starter, soup, salad bar, choice of 3 main courses (selected at breakfast) and dessert. Water available with evening meal but be aware there is a charge for this which is common in many hotels in Austria. Cosy stube area for drinks. All the staff we dealt with were lovely & friendly, from bar staff to cleaners. Hotel was immaculately clean, great spa area in basement too with sauna & infrared cabin (towels available). Didn't use the boot room, stored skis at the Erdinger sport shop next to main gondola - we enjoyed the walk there & back every day (about 15 minutes but last bit is uphill) instead of getting the ski bus (one stop directly opposite the hotel and another around the corner). Enjoyed our stay so much we've already booked to stay there again next January - hopefully get more of the ski area (which was great!) covered. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable & we look forward to staying again next year 🙂"
