H4 Solothurn ★★★★
"It is a very good hotel with a very beautiful environment, clean rooms and excellent service. If I have the opportunity to go to Switzerland again, I will definitely choose them."
Solothurn Youth Hostel ★★
"I don't often write reviews, but this was so terrible that I thought I'd write one in case it's helpful to others. I booked a dormitory room, and the check-in time was listed as between 5pm and 6am the next morning. It also said to contact them if you would be arriving after 9pm, so when I told them I would be arriving at 11:30pm, they refused to let me stay, saying they could only check in until 9pm. This is a tactic that allows you to check in for a single room for an additional 60CHF, and then says you can stay, and then adds on to the fee. I requested a free cancellation, but the hotel adamantly refused, saying they weren't responsible, so I ended up paying the fee without staying. Reading other people's reviews, it seems like the hotel never takes responsibility, so please be careful."
Boutique Hotel la Couronne ★★★★
"When ever we are in Solothurn we stay here. It’s a charming and luxurious Hotel. I love the linen bed linen!!! Being an Interior Designer I appreciate the wonderful color scheme of the rooms. Subtle with a hint of colour. We can recommend the suite 306 with the rolltop bathtub or the corner room 407. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We will add the hotel to our design and travel guide."
Bären Self Check-in Hotel ★★★
"Happy to recommend this place, very convenient as short walk into town or train stop just a few hundred metres up the road. I arrived close to midnight and the self check-in process was extremely smooth and simple - I've stayed in several self check-ins that always seems to have some kind of complication, yet this was a breeze and by far the smoothest one yet! Staff we very nice when I saw them the next day, and rooms are also very clean and comfortable. As with all hotels like this in the area it has no air-conditioner - so if you happen to stay there on some very hot days and want to leave the window open, then yes there is a bit of road noise but that can't be helped and I managed fine with some ear plugs. All-in-all, very cosy and nice stay, would likely stay here next time I'm in the area."
Baseltor Hotel & Restaurant ★★★
"English see below Situation centrale vers la Collégiale et l’une des portes de la Ville. Très belle rénovation, chic et distinguée, excellent service hôtelier, charme et confort, excellente literie, matelas de haute qualité, savons et shampoings L’Occitane, coupe de fruits et excellent petit déjeuner avec produits locaux. Outstanding central position, near one of the traditional urban doors to then city. Very elegant refurbishment of the building, smart and original, high quality hotel service, pleasant and comfortable, very good bed matras, light pillows and duvet, branded shampoo and soap (L’Occitane), fresh fruits and attractive breakfast including local products."
Zunfthaus zu Wirthen ★★★
Hotel Ambassador ★★★
"This hotel is recommended by my colleague as it is just across the train station and is not difficult to locate . From the look outside the hotel , it is very pleasant and homely, this is evident from the moment I was greeted by the staff at reception . The key system is rather unique because you need to exchange your room key for a smaller set of keys that open the main door since reception is attended till 7:00 pm. The room is typical of European which is very small with a single bed if you are staying alone . Well designed and clean room that I have nothing to complain about . Breakfast was simple with limited spread but no complains as this is very typical for such European hotel. Throughout my stay , every things runs good except the very weak internet making work rather challenging ."
La Couronne Atelier - Dependance ★★★★
Hotel Roter Turm ★★★
"Friendly, welcoming staff. We were 5 friends traveling for pleasure and each room was decorated differently. The antique furniture throughout the hotel and restaurant was amazing! There were clocks everywhere and the view from the rooftop restaurant was exceptional. It was centrally located and made visiting the city of Solothurn very easy. We all enjoyed our experience and would definitely stay there again!!"
