Bambuda Santa Catalina ★★★★

📍 Finca 464377, Sona

"The hotel is a spectacular location where you can relax and enjoy different activities. Personnel is service and very friendly"

Villa Coco
9.1 (26 reviews)

Villa Coco ★★

📍 Via Catalina Farms, Sona

"Arguably the best hotel in Santa Catalina. Nice bungalows with AC and all comfort. Very beautiful grounds with great pool. Walking distance to village. Nice restaurant and very friendly staff. I would come back and recommend this property."

SurfAsana Lodge

SurfAsana Lodge

📍 Calle Melina, Sona

"Surfasana (surf & yoga) is a completely new facility and an outstanding value. The lodge is surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful, beautiful setting ideal for relaxation, meditation, and reflection. It has hot water (rare for the area) and air conditioning, and boasts stunning views. The property is only 800 meters (about half a mile) from the nearest beach—not 1,800 meters as sometimes stated. We will definitely return, but the true highlight of our stay was the host, Mauricio. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable, from helping organize a Coiba National Park tour to providing free bikes and expert local advice—especially for surfing. On request, he will also host “pasta nights,” and we had the best prawn and rigatoni dish in a long time for a very reasonable price. A special place made even better by an exceptional host."

Hotel Santa Catalina Panamá

Hotel Santa Catalina Panamá ★★★

📍 Calle Kenny, Santa, Sona

"We visited this lovely hotel 2 weeks ago with a group of 10. We were welcomed from the moment we stepped on to the property. The staff is wonderful here including the restaurant. So friendly and accommodating. The rooms are immaculate and we had a well equipped small kitchen that was perfect for breakfast. They will arrange all of your activities and there are many including going to beautiful Coiba. I highly recommend this gem of a hotel and I can’t wait to return!"

Hotel Las Hamacas
7.7 (3 reviews)

Hotel Las Hamacas ★★★

📍 Via Playa Estero S/N, Sona

"My room was $80 per night and for that price I would certainly hope for better accommodations. The room was extremely small, as well as the bathroom (you can sit in the toilet and brush your teeth at the same time since the sink is in oración your face). To add to the bathroom woes, every morning the shower wouldn’t drain. The kitchenette had no soap, only one fork and no spoon, although the room was for two people. There was never anyone in the office to ask for help. The mattress was horrible and worn out with permanent indentions (body slots). The lighting ****** everywhere. Overall the room reminded me of a jail cell. It certainly wasn’t worth $8o a night and probably no even half that amount. The only positive was the location which is right near “downtown “. But in that same location, there are far better places in town to stay. I’d pass on this one."

Catalina's Hideaway
9.4 (61 reviews)

Catalina's Hideaway ★★★★

📍 Catalina's Hideaway, Sona

"We spent a week at Catalina's Hideaway. It was a beautiful, secluded, intimate vacation experience. Food and drinks were fresh and delicious! There are lots of nearby activity options in Santa Catalina and plenty of beautiful pool, beach, and scenic activities right at Catalina's Hideaway as well. We loved it! Panama and Catalina's Hideaway should be on everyone's travel bucket list!"

Villa Coco ★★
"We visited Santa Catalina for Spring Break with our family of 6 and had the most wonderful stays at Villa Coco. The staff was warm and helpful throughout our stay. They arranged all of our excursions and every guide we had was fantastic. The rooms were gorgeous (outdoor shower of my dreams!) and the beds really comfy. The kids loved coming home to swim in the pool or relax in the hammocks. The food was outstanding - some of the best we have had in all of our travels and Olivia was outstanding - she a gem!! Lou, the cat, was our favorite. We will miss him sitting quietly outside our door awaiting our kids to wake up and give belly rubs. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you."

"This hostel is truly fantastic! The cleanliness of the rooms and the comfort are absolutely top-notch. Located at an altitude of about 50 meters, it offers a unique view of the sea and the beautiful landscape. The approximately 2 km to the town center can easily be covered by bicycle, which are provided free of charge. Social gatherings and communal cooking evenings are possible in the shared kitchen."

Hotel Santa Catalina Panamá ★★★
"We had a nice time at this place. The street to Santa Catalina and the hotel was completely renewed a couple of weeks ago which made the journey very easy and comfortable. Our room was spacious, quiet and even offered a small kitchen and a terrace with a hammock. The pool is small but the views from its area was stunning. We ate at the restaurant once in the evening and once in the morning - both times the food was good. The hotel manager was lovely and very kind. We felt welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel is about 10' by foot away from the centre of Santa Catalina."

Catalina's Hideaway ★★★★
"Staying at the hideway in Santa Catalina felt like being welcomed into a family. Antheas and Ryan are two incredible people who are sharing their dream, and you can feel that passion in every corner of the place. The food was absolutely incredible – the chef is truly talented, and the staff are the sweetest! The vibe here is unlike anything else. From the amazing music that plays all the time to the small, beautiful details in every room, you feel the love and care that went into creating this space. The beds were so comfortable, and the rooms were perfect – every detail thoughtfully designed. Whether you're bringing your kids, your partner, or your friends, Hideway is for everyone. We didn't want to leave, and we can't wait to return. It's truly a slice of paradise!"
