The Inn on Knowles Hill Bed & Breakfast Hotel

My husband and I spent three glorious nights at the beautifully preserved Inn on Knowles Hill B&B. We stayed in the Segerstrom room with large corner windows and a spacious balcony. The property is home to friendly cats, dogs, birds, and a duck. The history of the home and how owners Fred and Rhonda acquired the furnishings is fascinating. Fred and Rhonda are an amazing couple. The adjective is overused but fitting for these gracious and remarkable hosts. We enjoyed our conversations and sumptuous breakfasts with Rhonda and guests. Rhonda also prepares dinners for guests on special occasions. The 5-star reviews say it all. The Inn at Knowles Hill was among the top B&Bs we have stayed at on four continents. Thank you Fred and Rhonda. We will be back and recommend your inn to friends.

We had a marvelous third stay at your excellent Inn. The room is very beautiful and comfortable and the whole Inn and grounds are spectacular. Our days started on a high note with the sumptuous and delicious breakfasts.

A beautifully restored house with a rich history. The owner’s attention to details is what sets this destination apart from any other option available. This was by far the highlight of our trip! Everything is a feast for the eyes. Do not miss the outstanding breakfast which includes delights from around the globe. The Earl Warren room is fantastic. What an amazing step back in time with the amenities that rival any modern 5 star hotel/resort. From the moment you arrive to the time you depart, gracious hospitality exists. The rooms are well appointed with fine linens, bedding and the towels are WONDERFUL! The property is stunningly beautiful. I could have spent days upon end trying to take in all the furnishings and decor of the home. The owners who are also the hosts are incredibly friendly as they share the history of the home...and what a history there is! I highly suggest staying in the Segerstrom suite that has a wonderful balcony for a late afternoon glass of wine while you take in the views. The property is located on a quiet road above the quaint town of Sonora. There is a selection of restaurants and shopping within just a few minutes of the Inn. Do not skip out or miss the breakfast at the Inn. It is well planned out, filling and so scrumptious. I am not a breakfast person and totally enjoyed not only the time to share conversation with other guests but also savored each bite...the German pancakes, Aebleskivers with raspberry sauce (served that morning), are worth every calorie. It should be noted that this is an older home built in 1927 that has been renovated to preserve the beauty of those times with a touch of modern amenities. Also, there are stairs that need to be navigated in the event you may have some mobility issues.

Best Breakfast EVER! I never had Poached Pears before but pretty sure Rhonda's is world class! Everything she makes is delicious! She also caters to individual dietary needs. Rooms are amazing with its own historical flair. I would stayed in my room all day if I could.

This place is amazing and the hosts are just as amazing. We had the place to ourselves and Rhonda and Fred were such a pleasure to speak too. The food was professionally exquisite. The history of the house is so educational and to think we stayed where some great Americans of the past stayed. We did a side trip to Colombia and it was free and fun. Don’t miss a chance to stay here.
