"Palatinus is a lovely hotel in near the main square of Sopron, in the old town. Rooms are nice, well equipped, and the staff is lovely. Parking spaces are limited, so make sure you book one well in advance. You fon’t neccessarily need a car however since almost everything is walking distance."

"Reviews are not telling the truth about this place .This can be a single experience and not the truth about this place.For us made a good impression with a nice reception ,spoked english and gave us all the advices ,the buffet ( included in the price)was fair and nice not too fancy but we are not in Ritz hotel here,room clean,quiet area ,clean,maybe to shower can be looked after a bit but overall all good.Dont understand the negative reviews .For what you pay it does the job.We will be back.Pool is amszing ."

I must say that we left with some bad mouth taste since the hotel charge an extra 15 euros for the bigger bathroom since our friend was not able to fit in to the double room´s bathroom with wheelchair, even though we have tried to get this clarified during the booking process with the hotel... I find it unfair and super rude to extra charge disabled visitors."

"It was a very small and cramped room. Much worse than I expected; other hotels in similarly priced cities and towns in Hungary were significantly better. Check-in was self-service, with absolutely no customer service. Online inquiries went unanswered for a long time. In short, the experience was really bad, especially when you're in a rush. Ctrip's online customer service is much more reliable. The only bright spot was opening the window in the morning; the sunlight filtering through the morning mist created a very soothing, mountain-like atmosphere."
