Marriott Grand Residence Club, Lake Tahoe

Everything is great! We love the pool.

The woman at the front desk was so helpful in giving information for what a first time guest to Lake Tahoe should visit, she was amazing.

Nice clean property, however, we got there between the winter and the summer crowd. So the skating rink was already shut down and they were in the process of putting up the mini golf but none of it was there. Plus the gondola was shut down. So two things that we had planned on doing was down, however the hotel was clean and you got what you paid for.. I would definitely go back again and plan too soon.

Kind of an awkward situation. In all the hotels we have stayed in over the years, we have never encountered being asked to support the housekeeping team by: Taking out our trash, removing the sheets and pillowcases (not the pillow protectors ugh) and leaving them piled on top of bed, load and start the dishwasher and leave all the towels in the sink! We are paying a high price to stay at the hotel, and charged service fees, etc. The housekeepers are paid to clean the rooms after we leave, why should we do their jobs? We found it uncomfortable. Just to note, I always straighten the room and bed linen, pick up all the trash around the room and place in trash can, and try to leave the room tidy enough when we check out. We were told twice, big note in the room and lengthy text on our departure.

Kitchen was fully equipped but we only used the fridge and microwave. Convenient to everything. Staff friendly. Valet parking was expensive.

Spent 3 nights here and would love to have stayed more! Very friendly staff (shout out to Regina), clean grounds, excellent location and pool/hot tub were a hit for whole family. Only negative is the expensive valet parking. There are other options nearby to park, but they are equally expensive. I would have preferred to see this included in the nightly rate. However, I will definitely visit again.

The mattress was too soft and too old. We were sinking in it and couldn’t sleep, very uncomfortable. Also, we did not ask for a handicap accessible room but were given one without any notification. We did not like this at all since the bathroom was designed to accommodate a handicap person and had very little room by the sink to put our stuff, and I mean literally very little room!!! Barely enough room for toothbrush and mouth wash and towel, no room for other personal hygiene items. Also, the shower designed for a handicap person, did not have any glass to cover and the curtain was just floating, there was no bath tub. As a result, the water would go everywhere in the shower after taking a shower. It was a mess!!! We had to use towels to cover the floor. Overall, very disappointing not worth the price at all
