Fantastic rooms that feel really luxurious. The large freestanding bath is a great plus and it was silent and pitch black at night - great for a restful escape from the city.

Very nice place and great bar with log fire, so great during the winter evenings. The food only average with a small menu. Staff friendly and helpful during stay

Just returned home after a very short ( only one night ) Stay every little thing was perfect . Every staff member friendly attentive special shout out to the superb Carol 5⭐️ Food and drinks excellent and room utterly gorgeous. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel welcome and utterly relaxed and those beds were so comfy and afternoon nap , early night and lay in ( never happened ) cannot recommend enough

Amy and Carol looked after us as if we were their most important guests. We had a fantastic room, only a one night stay but felt like a long time away from home. Food in the pub was excellent and spit on scrambled eggs for breakfast. Definitely one to remember!

Fantastic food, great food. Massive shout out to Carole who helped make our experience perfect! Well done! Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Planning to visit again soon. Great selection of local drinks and food was as greasy as you can get

It was very quiet on a monday night but everything was very comfortable,the food was good and the staff were friendly. The House Manager on Tuesday morning (sorry didn't ask his name) was very helpful and recommended a gorgeous walk to the roman villa through a beech wood. Loved being able to borrow the bikes too.

Celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary here and found it perfect in every way. It's welcoming and informal and our room (8, in the stables) was cosy yet generous, with a private patio (would be great in summer). Lovely minibar treats & snacks, a super-comfortable bed, and blissfully well-heated. A wonderful pub to be attached too, with the added bonus of room-service, so you can have breakfast at your leisure (and probably one of the tastiest we've had). Pretty walks on the doorstep. The 13th century church just up the road is beautiful and well worth popping into. Witney is about 20 mins' drive with a good selection of cafes, pus and restaurants, though to be honest I could've happily stayed on site the whole weekend! Highly recommended ...
