Wasn’t satisfied with having to retrieve card details online given I was using contactless to pay up front. Lovely setting and one particular staff member,Sarah, went above and beyond to ensure all guests were ok-even if lack of support from trainee or management was forthcoming. Lovely place and staff but shame after provided details was unable to charge to the room thereafter. Sarah deserves a gold star for not only service but instinctive measures to deal with some undesirables with no support. Food lovely 👌👍

Fabulous views and lovely ambiance. Limited food menu eg strangely no tasted sandwiches after 5pm (Sunday lunch meny only) so not exactly pub grub. Staff behind bar very attentive but floor staff very slow to clear tables - no obvious staff management.

This is a great place to stay. The location is stunning with amazing walks from the door. Comfortable beds, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Already planning a return visit

View is awesome, hotel ok a bit old,not the cleanest but food was great especially burger. Staff friendly and helpful as I had troubles with vending machine. Was surprised that was no kettle on room and also no coffee/tea, drinking water/glasses. But night porter was really kind and gave me water and made me a tea. Toilet and carpet in the room wasn't the cleanest but otherwise was clean everything. Towels changed. Had a room just beside the place where's the water pump so was little bit noise coming through the wall but wasn't that bad. I would recommend to put some insulation against noise on those walls. Breakfast was lovely, next day breakfast (self catering) just ok. To be honest was good to stay as had worse experience with 3 star hotels. Total I would give 7/10 to this hotel.

Just terrible. Look at the photos. They speak for themselves. We stayed for 3 days. There was no room service for the 3 days. we could not use the living area, it was covered in pet hairs. We were on a golfing trip and we had to shower in the Golf clubs. We couldn't find alternative accommodation nearby . We had to stay as we were booked into local golf clubs. We only slept there.

Setting is beautiful, hotel is tastefully decorated, smell of sewage outside was horrendous. We only stayed for an evening meal. Service was excellent, staff are helpful and friendly. Meal was ok, we had battered plaice and the batter was far too thick and heavy for the dish IMO. Overall I wouldn't be in a rush to return, but I will say it was a bank holiday weekend, they were extremely busy so would give them a bit of leeway.

A group of women friends met to celebrate a surprise birthday. We chose Aherlow House because of its beautiful location and ambience. It is great, both in winter and summer. Such views. We had an informal lunch in the bar area. The choices were great and the meals were really good. Philip and Rachel who served us were so helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much for them. We were not any easy group to please, but we were very happy with our experience. So much so we plan to repeat it.
