"We stayed for 3 nights during April 2025 and liked very much the location and service. The room was nice and clean, the location very close to the Bear lake so we enjoyed a few minutes walk to the lake. The breakfast was good, the only downside is that if you come late after 9:40 is no longer replenished. It is super hot in the room, we asked for the heat to be totally switched off and even so the temperature was high, thus it is perfect for the heat lovers. Overall it was a very nice experience and I would choose the same location if I would return to Sovata."

"We stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Crystal in Sovata and we really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to answer questions. The hotel looks new and everything was very clean, from the room to the spa and restaurant. The spa was a nice place to relax after a day out, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style and the food was very good. Everything was fresh, warm and tasty, and they always refilled the trays quickly when something was finished. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back."

"This was a spa hotel and overall it was a great experience. There was some left to be desired. Pros: nice mineral springs, saunas, pools. nice spa mud treatments. diverse and fresh breakfast, beautiful views of the lake. Cons: some members or the party had issues with a/c in their room, some flooding in the bathroom. they turned off the coffee machines 30 minutes before breakfast ended. we booked a double matrimonial bed but ended with 2 twins on wheels that fell apart. the room keys had to be fixed as they did not work the first time. overall, the experience was good. but, they did not care in the slightest when we were inconvenienced."

"We had a great time at the hotel and recommend it 1. the room was very clean 2. the food (we had breakfast and dinner) was diverse and really delicious, 3. the staff is very attentive to the guests needs 4. based on the bracelets we received we had the access included to Lacul Ursu, and could enter as many times per day as we wished (regular tickets bought at the cashhers desk at the lake only provide 1 entry/day) 5. The hotel has its own spa area, and access to the pools and sauna was included In the room we were in there were 2 separate beds put together, so there are 2 beds, not 1 - but they were really confortable. Also, we had to pay separately for the parking."

"Very expensive, at 250 euro a night. Not a single day without having problems with the keys(cards). The staff at reception is nice(also the rest), but they are too few and you have to wait a lot to actually talk to one. Breakfast is ok, but dinner is very bad, and you only get water(this for 250e/night). The hotel is old(a bit renovated), but dirty. The elevator is slow, old, dirty and rusty. The rooms are ok, but still not very clean, and far from 4 stars. The shower is a joke, half of the nozzles are clogged and the other half go each one in its own direction. The parking isn't free(even at 250/night) and you cant really find one close to the hotel unless you are lucky. The pools are ok, but dirty. There are too few chairs. The door that leads outside is old, rusty and dirty. The windows are dirty and have spiderwebs on them. The bar at the pool has very few things to sell(nothing special, you find everything at any store) at very high prices(3-4 times the price of a supermarket). It's not worth more than 100 euros per night."
