Freddie and Myself booked this hotel on *********** on route between Chester and Hastings this week A very reasonable £72 B&B each On arrival there was plenty of parking and we entered checked in and were given the keys to two rooms Mine was clean , warm and comfortable and hard to fault Freddie was equally nice but he mentioned the noise from adjoining road was a little intrusive at 5.30am However that night and the following morning we both enjoyed a beautiful evening meal and breakfast The menu was 1st Class and my main of Pork Belly with Potato Dauphinoise and scallops was excellent Freddie Calamari followed by Risotto was equally delicious At breakfast I enjoyed Eggs Benedict and Freddie and full English Breakfast I very pleasant and welcoming surprise If I am ever in town again I would definitely return Highly Recommend

We stayed here on our way to Gatwick and the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to accommodate our wishes for a nearly check in and late check out. The food at dinner was good and sensible value and the inclusive breakfast excellent. Would thoroughly recommend

Check in was easy, no faff or fuss. Room was great, Bed was comfortable. We had booked dinner as we were meeting friends. Excellent service and wonderful menu and tasty food. We all had a great evening. My thanks must go to the young man who played the role of Santa during breakfast on the Saturday morning (or maybe it was Santa). At the end of the evening my hearing aids had run out of charge. I removed them and put them in my pocket. But when saying goodbye to our friends I must have dropped one in the car park. We searched by phone torchlight to no avail. A young staff member helped me look but he too could not see it. Now he may have been Santa in disguise, because at breakfast Santa approached me and opened his palm to reveal my hearing aid. He had found it in the car park that morning. What a star he is. These aids are not cheap, although insured for over £1000 each, Santa saved me from a lot of hassle and inconvenience. Please look after that young man he is a credit to your business.

What can I say, checked in and checked right back out...the whole experience was one of the worst ever.On arrival after a 7 hour drive the 2 girls behind the bar both went 'we can't check you in'...someone then appeared after about 5 minutes...no smile, no welcome, just threw a form at me to complete. The room was booked for 2 nights but it was nothing like on the website...like a shoebox..on the main road which was noisey.. the window wouldn't shut, the bathroom floor had a massive pool of water, the so called luxury toiletries was a nearly empty bottle of hand wash. I did go to reception to complain and we were offered 2 other rooms which looked slightly more like the ones advertised but I was too upset by then and just wanted to get out of the place especially when one of the rooms she showed us she caught the edge of the desk and the front ***** was then hanging off. It is very hard to believe this hotel had a refurbish last year as it is very tatty and needs a lot doing to it.

We stayed with family for our Grandsons Wedding at a church near by and the staff were very helpful. They did everything , but they could to make it a special weekend for us. All 5 rooms were great, our appreciation for the food on the Friday evening was shown by the empty plates for every course. The young lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. My only criticism is that I wish all hotels ( yours included because you can’t sleep with the windows open due to traffic noise) would put summer quilts on their beds during summer months. Guests would get a better night sleep.

Great place to stay in Kent. Comfy, clean room and friendly staff particularly Jay and Kris (who makes the best poached eggs ever!) Definitely a place to stay again when in this part of Kent!

I stayed two nights here with my husband as we were going to a wedding in the local area. The room was comfortable and clean and service from the staff was great. We ate in the restaurant on Friday night which was delicious. Breakfast on the Saturday was equally as good. We missed breakfast on the Sunday as needed to get on the road early which was a disappointment as it had been so good the day before.

Excellent hotel, Beautifully refurbished, Great stay all round We stayed here in a family room for 1 night following a full refurbishment to both the pub and the hotel. We eat dinner in the restaurant - decor is beautiful and food was really excellent. Service great all round. Room is newly decorated (we were one of the first to stay) and is finished to the highest level throughout. Beds so comfortable and sofa bed also was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and overall we had a fabulous stay. Wide choice of dishes for breakfast. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in the area. Car parking free and easy.
