ibis Styles Speyer
"The hotel chosen for business trips is very good! The breakfast is rich, the price is affordable, and the location is not difficult to find, although you need to drive out. Go to the nearby old town for about 15 minutes."
Hotel Domhof
"Beautiful old coaching Inn type residence in the center of Speyer, a stones throw from the historic cathedral. Clean, comfortable and well appointed, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, with the scrambled eggs worthy of a special mention. The inner courtyard offers a beautiful place to relax plus the hotel‘s restaurant/beer garden offers great food and drink options"
Hotel Löwengarten
"For better or worse, it feels like a city hotel. The breakfast was nothing special compared to other hotels. The view from the room was pretty good. I booked a queen bed, but it was a separate bed made up of two single beds joined together, so if I slept alone, I would either end up squeezing in the gap or only using one side. The downside is that there aren't many parking spaces. The designated parking lot fills up quickly, so I have to park on the street in a nearby parking lot."
Amedia Plaza Speyer, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
"My experience with Amedia Hotel Speyer started off well—it seemed like a decent hotel with a touch of luxury. However, that impression quickly changed when I reached the reception. The star receptionist seems to be gone, and the current staff member, who has been there for months, still struggles to manage the process efficiently. Checking in takes far too long, and the system is anything but streamlined. I waited 20 minutes at reception just to order one drink, but I couldn’t even place the order—it’s literally a task that takes one minute. That said, there is a new young guy with glasses working there, and he’s doing a great job. It’s clear he’s making an effort and stands out compared to the rest. If the whole team could match his efficiency, the experience would be much better."
Hotel Trutzpfaff
"Excellent hosts. They kept checking when we would be arriving and when they found it would be late (we were delayed), they gave us detailed instructions as to how to access the onsite carpark, how to enter the building, get our key. Also enquired if we needed anything else. Room was clean and felt newish. But size wise it's on the smaller side but enough for 2 persons on a short stay or if you don't need a desk/sofa etc."
Hotel Sperling Mit E-Ladestation
"We had booked months in advance and relied on the good reviews. Our room was in the upper floor without lift. The first impression of the hall was a little smooth (with points on the tape floor and on the walls). The room appeared old baking/ come in the years, but this is not the reason for our bad review. We had day and night 28-30 degrees in the room, without air condition, without ventilator. When we opened the windows to cool in the night, it was so noisy that you could not only sleep because of the heat, but also because of the noise, in addition to the sticky decorations. The cleanness of the room was absolutely deficient. From a glass on the floor in the corner, where the previous guest probably had caught a animal, to large cookies, paper and huge dust clouds. The bath was old and quite calcified. In general, our room was old and absolutely not cleaned or maintained. When we checked out after one night and were not even breakfast (although we booked 2 nights), nor was it asked why. This shows that there is probably no big service idea here. There are other hotels nearby, which have climate, are clean and offer a great service."
Hotel Speyer am Technik Museum
"The location is good. However, the room I was given smelled extremely of cigarettes. I asked for another room. That one didn't smell, however there were big silverfish in that room. When I left my used and dirty towel on the floor to get a new one (as the instructions in the room say), the same towel was folded and offered as "new". I got back late that night and only realised after already having taken a shower, so I ended up not being able to use a towel. The breakfast, on the other hand, was quite good."
Hotel Residenz am Königsplatz
Maximilian
"It’s a Hotel without reception, so a little tricky to go first to the restaurant to check in and then move to the hotel location (200m). Room very good and spacious with big TV and with Nespresso coffee machine . Bathroom good, nice big shower"
