La Belle Vue Boutique Hotel & Café

This is the worst hotel I've stayed in for years! So disappointing! The only good thing was the lake view from the balcony, but then again, Switzerland is beautiful everywhere! I went in mid-August, and after being exposed to the sun all day, the room was still stuffy and hot in the evening – no air conditioning! The ventilation was poor, and the room temperature was extremely high. If I didn't open the window, I'd wake up in the middle of the night from the heat. But if I opened the window at night, I had to turn off all the lights to keep insects out. The room cleaning was also very shoddy; it felt more like a very basic guesthouse. Some room types don't even have an elevator, so you have to carry your own luggage.

Facilities: Decent. The room size is moderate, not large. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: Alright. Convenient transportation. Service: So-so. They followed standard procedures, which was fine, just typical.

The pros are its convenient location and a lovely terrace with good views. The staff (a few ladies) were very friendly, and they were accommodating with breakfast requests. The cons are that it's quite basic, and there's no air conditioning, so you might need to manage your expectations. I wasn't quite used to it on the first day, but I ended up having a really pleasant stay afterwards. Thank you!

Cleanliness: Extremely clean. Environment: Lake Thun is right outside the door, and the train station is very close. Service: The service was exceptional, very warm and helpful. They thoroughly explained all the hotel facilities, and we were offered coffee upon check-in. Facilities: The hotel is a classic Swiss chalet; it's small but has everything you need. The breakfast was also delicious.

The breakfast was pretty good, but the downside was that it was the same every day. Staying for three consecutive days felt a bit repetitive. The hotel's location is unbeatable, about 400 meters from the station. If you're walking without luggage, it's a 3-5 minute walk – truly very, very convenient. The facilities are well-equipped, and the decor is quite cozy. As for service, on the first day, it felt quite enthusiastic, but over the next two days, it was just average. However, there was one Asian-looking server who was particularly warm. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Fantastic! The staff were incredibly welcoming, and we even received complimentary drinks upon check-in. The breakfast the next morning was superb and very generous, and the restaurant view was absolutely stunning. We felt completely relaxed here! Looking forward to visiting again!
