Super 8 by Wyndham Spokane Valley

It's nearby Interstate (I-90) which makes it convenient to access other places. Wendy's and Denny's are nearby if you wanna grab a quick meal without driving. The sheets were nice and clean. Though the place looks a little worn down. It's as expected for a 2 star hotel. The free breakfast was mediocre. Sadly there was no pancake or waffle machine. Just prepackaged muffins, granola bars?, oatmeal, and some sort of strawberry bread. Great Juice and Coffee selection. If I ever need a quick rest nearby. I would come back.

I booked the family suite with bunk beds for my son’s birthday. There was me (mom) and 4 teenage boys. When checking in I was informed that the bunk beds have a max weight limit of 180lbs. I pointed to the boys and told her “that doesn’t really work for us since they were supposed to pair up together and would go over the 180lbs limit by a lot and the room was booked by recommendations for the size of our party. I was then told that unfortunately they were fully booked and couldn’t change my room and as a be time favor since management wasn’t on duty, that she would provide an extra blanket and pillow so some of them could sleep on the floor. I don’t think charging $150 for 1 night is appropriate if I have to have people sleeping on the floor when I paid for the extra bed space. To top it all off, there is no pool in their building. You have to go to the hotel Nextdoor and ask to use theirs. The cherry on top was the fact that breakfast consisted of prepackaged toaster waffles in the fridge, bananas, oranges, oatmeal and some snack bars. So I ended up spending another chunk of money to feed the boys. Not happy at all about how this played out. Felt like I was stuck between a rock and a hard place since I had this trip prepaid and couldn’t afford last minute prices in the area. They also will not do late checkouts on the weekends. Definitely not worth the prices we paid!
