The place itself really need renovation but was pretty clean despite that, could need a bit more of equipment however. Also the room was a bit small.

There is no toilet, no bathroom, only a small faucet.
We arrived at 10 pm, and as they said on the phone before, we took the key and followed the instructions to find our room. But it took a lot of effort and the help of other guests to find the room. My son was very dissatisfied and decided to cancel the reservation for the next day that night, and booked a hotel with a similar price but close to 5 stars.
I went to Ctrip to seek my rights, but in the end the store only refunded half, Ctrip compensated one-fourth, and I lost one-fourth. During this period, Ctrip made four or five overseas calls, and only considered Ctrip, so I gave up. Otherwise, I will never stop with you. It's too outrageous.

Quiet location, high ground, no worries about flooding even during storms.

The place is very peaceful and quiet. It’s situated very central of Brisbane, and most things can be reached by foot. We had a double room for two nights. It was nice to have big double bed, clean sheets and towels. The bedroom was air conditioned, and we had our own fridge. The host was very kind and helpful, and we got a quick respond when we needed any assistance. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, and a refresh of the kitchen area would be nice. We can recommend Kookaburra Inn if you want a peaceful and quiet place close to the center.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. I was a bit skeptical about a common kitchen and shower but it was not bad at all. I like that it is close to the queen street mall. I attended the P!NK concert at the Suncorp stadium and walked back safely within 30mins. Thoroughly enjoyed BNE with Kookaburra Inn as my base

The owner was very kind at the inn. The hairdryer I brought broke, but the owner lent me a hairdryer. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, and other necessities nearby, making it easy to get what you need. The station is also not far away, making it convenient to go out from here.

The rooms are all very well cleaned and organised before each stay, and the shared areas are also well cleaned. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, giving me maps on the area around me and where I could visit, which gave me a much more enjoyable experience during my stay.
