Hellesveor Holidays

I've just stayed with friends at the superb Hellesveor campsite, which is beautiful, very clean and in an exceptional location. The couple who run it are very nice and helpful. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was great. Very clean, well equipped, warm and lovely. A great campsite and great cottage. Totally recommended.

Cannot recommend this campsite enough, the owners are lovely and very helpful, the facilities are great, very clean and up to date. The location of the site is brilliant you can catch a bus from the end of the lane into st Ives for £2.20 one way so if you wanting to walk down there is the option for getting the bus back up from st Ives if you don’t fancy the walk back up the hill. You can also walk the costal path into st ives from the campsite. The owners may not be there when you arrive however on the reception door there will be your booking name and your allocated pitch so you do not need to wait for them to get back to find your pitch. We used the washing machine and tumble dryer whilst there, you get the tokens from reception and it’s £4 for washing and £4 for drying and these both last for about 45 minutes the dryer you can go and open and check so no risk of your clothes shrinking. It’s is a quiet site with no entertainment and there are no facilities for children if your looking for that on a campsite, for us it was brilliant site to use our base whilst we are in st Ives.

Stayed for one night. What a great little site. Excellent location, with superb and immaculately kept facilities. Andrew and Mel are fantastic hosts. Very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return (for longer) and would thoroughly recommend.

Mel & Andrew are great hosts going that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant experience. Wound not hesitate visiting again. Shower block and toilets kept very clean with plenty of hot water. Walk into St Ives via coastal path or road plus option to catch local hourly bus service.

We have just come back from 7 nights in Hellesveor and we are already looking to book again for next year and this is after a 9 hour drive home to Scotland. Andrew and Mel’s site is an oasis of calm that you return to after a busy day in St Ives, with 5 star facilities and service to match. It’s the little things that really make all the difference - the warm and friendly hosts who really love their site, spotless bathrooms, personal washing lines, fresh baked croissants and lending library. We loved our time here and can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a perfect St ives holiday.

This is a lovely small campsite. The showers, laundry and washing facilities are clean and well decorated. I think this campsite is only open may to oct or something which is fine as we had lovely hot weather, but they’re not heated so may get cold. The pitches are really well kept and fairly flat. EHC is mainly hard standing from what I saw, but we didn’t have electric so may be wrong. The family live onsite and are lovely and approachable. The site is about a 50 min walk via the coastal path to St Ives town and about 30-40 mins the less scenic route (we have three young children and did both- it took longer - about an hour via the costal path and 45 mins the less scenic route) There is also a bus that operates from the end of the campsite road to town and back which is a lovely break from the steep hill you walk up to get back to camp. FYI- the coastal path is not a path most of the way, it’s quite uneven and rocky under foot so if you have balance or mobility issues I would maybe consider a different route. However it is beautiful so well worth a punt. If you are looking for a party campsite it’s not for you. But for couples, families and groups looking to chill and enjoy St Ives it’s absolutely perfect! We will be back next year! Thanks!!!!
